The first couple of videos about rice was funny and then it started getting a bit too repetitive haha.

    • Uncle Roger sad now

Hmm, I'm whiter than rice and have had a rice cooker for a decade before he started making videos and I'm sure there's heaps of Asian families that have had them decades longer than me. Besides, I have Tiger brand and IIRC he uses Zojirushi so he may not like it.

    • Genuinely lol at this comment.

    • Tiger brands are great… they last forever.

      • Thanks Levity. Looks like another shill

] Ng stated, "This video has made a bad social impact…I wasn't aware of his political thoughts and his past incorrect remarks about China…I hope you can give Uncle Roger, who has just entered China, a chance to improve!"[

This guy has no scruples. Enjoys and thrives with the freedom of expression the west provides but at the slightest hint of offending the CCP, he backs down.

Maybe his parents visit China often. There might be family pressure. but coward nonetheless

    • +1

Let's put it this way, if you had family left in North Korea would you piss off Kim Jung Un?

      • +3

Silence is often the better solution than licking the boots.

He wasn't doing it for safety, he did it for $$$. That man has no dignity.

  • +3

    Haha so funny right?

    Yeah nah.

  • +4

fuyoh!! But only in Brisbane and Melbourne, haiya.

Also +1 for being a CCP cuck-boi. That was about the time I stopped watching him, when he removed a video because someone in the CCP got offended.

    • He's also performing in Sydney too

      • Oh, I only just looked at dealbots link and it said Brisbane and Melbourne. I don’t go much on his humour, but my daughter likes him.

No thanks, CCP shill and the schtick has been overplayed.
Also, despite his calls to not spread hate, he went on to critique and target cooks including amateur ones. Normal reactions and criticism is fair but his over the top reactions are just distasteful.

  • My wife forced me to buy tickets to see this guy.

I don't really care for him though because I don't have Asian relatives like his caricature.

His CCP self-censoring however was just a cynical move to preserve his cashflow because I recall he was quite poor before his Jamie Oliver video.

    • Agree. Instead of concerns over relos in china the reason why his kowtowing to China is cos he doesnt want to break his rice bowl there by pissing off the CCP

  • I find Nigel's jokes to be very stale after a while. I rather watch Ronny Chieng.

Going to go against all the hater comments and ask “I wonder what his stand up is like?” The videos of his that I’ve seen are very one-note (the ones criticising food dishes) so I wonder what his stand up is like.

Either way not big enough of a fan to shell out valuable 💰 to see him. Sacrifices must be made when saving for a house.

Hmm not bad. I guess he’ll roast Australia when he comes here.

Is it just me or does his head look huge compared to his body?

  • I hereby grant him as the Slayer of Jam-in Olivoil.

  • Watched the first few, was entertaining, quickly got repetitive and boring when the 5th and 6th Uncle Roger videos rolled around.

If it's making him money, good for him.
