[Solved] Have I Been Scammed by Redeemyourgiftcard.com.au (SAVSCO PTY LTD) ?

UPDATE: I've FINALLY received my gift card about 40 mins after writing this post. I don't know if it has to do with me posting about it publicly or sending them a text at 0412 068 459, but I'm just relieved.

I'm not sure if I'm willing to risk it again for a 5% discount in the future, but hopefully anyone who encounters a similar experience can find a resolution.

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a $500 Woolies giftcard from redeemyourgiftcard.com.au. It was 5% off + $1 off so I transferred $476 to their bank account as per their instructions.

It has been 8 days since I've transferred the money through Osko and I've confirmed with my bank that the money has gone through. I've triple checked that I've included the correct reference number. I've emailed them at [email protected] four times but they won't respond to me.

I thought they were pretty reputable since I've successfully purchased giftcards from them in the past.

I've launched an investigation with my bank but they said there is no guarantee the money will be returned to me.

I'm not sure what I can do now since I have other way of reaching out to them :(

      I've successfully purchased gift cards from them in the past as well but I don't understand why they won't respond to my email for this gift card. It has been 8 days since the money has gone through.

    I buy from them all the time. They are legitimate.

    The one time I had to email them because my gift card was taking several days to arrive it was because I had typed "Ref Number xxx" in the payment description instead of just the reference number by itself i.e. "xxx"

    After I emailed them they traced down the payment and my gift card was sent.

      Yeah I've had success with them in the past too.

      But I've literally triple checked my reference number and have sent them several follow up emails but no response from them at all after 8 days :(

        Just keep trying.

        I bought a gift card today from them and received it in a couple of hours.

    When I used them a few months ago, they were definitely legit. I bought a $500 Caltex Woolworths (WISH) gift card from them and I received it within three hours (and I was a first time purchaser).

    I had a look at previous deals and posts, and I noticed some people experienced similar problems as you. Some of the previous deals also listed the following contact details, which you could give it a go. However, keep in mind that the person may have moved onto a new role, so there's no guarantees it will yield any results:

    I also noticed one of the previous deals has this helpful ominous sentence:

    Warning: Users report that gift cards are often slow to come or do not come at all, use the information below and purchase at your own risk.

      Thank you so much for the reply, WookieMonster! I actually found the posts you linked a few mins before you posted these and texted the number. Not sure if it had to do with me making this forum post or sending the text but I have finally received my giftcard as of a few minutes ago.

    Lol, accepts bank transfer only. Sounds like a quality non-shady business, legit or not!

    A different Pty Ltd is the registrant of the domain name Registrant: WMDS PTY LTD Registrant ID: ABN 78603877498

    At least they were silly enough to post their actual address. 4 14 Burke Cres North Lakes QLD 4509

    Good luck. They could disappear overnight with your money at any time.
