I can't remember last week. Let alone two months ago

Aldi has some watermelon flavoured energy drink: https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/limited-time-only/limit… 500ml for $1.49 made in Austria probably by the same Rauch that bottles RedBull: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rauch_(company) .

    • 2 cents cheaper per can.. deal is a deal! I drink the "Original" Flying Power energy drink occasionally, but enjoy Redbull's chemical taste much more than the Flying Power branded one, I'll give this one a go next time I'm there.

      • Well, they have a lot of flavours, but in smaller cans that are also available sugar free every day at lower prices than RedBull so you don't have to hunt for "specials".

    • Almost $20 retail for $0.01 of water, prob <$0.50 sugar and other cheap things, and some packaging and automated production costs. And people thinking the price is OK. Redbull is like a goldmine.

      • It's like smoking: 'Essential' to many. Sugar is addictive, just like many other things. Fake sugar even worse on so many levels.

Your calculations can apply to so many overpriced convenience products. Oh well, record diabetes and all sorts of problems from eating refined sugar and products made with white flour and countless GMOs and countless additives in the food supply.

Convenience foods and drink have always been expensive garbage. This is no exception.

        • Can’t agree more!

Cause cost also include marketing, administration, profits, delivery, packaging, and much more. The reality of selling a product. I'd appreciate if you could make some energy drink and charge me the cost of ingredients only

        • These costs are born by most businesses, even those who make gross margins of 10-20% on their products.

  • Don’t forget to add FREE COKE :)

Wasn’t a fan of this flavour. Didn’t taste much like watermelon imo. Tropical is still supreme though

    • Add some lemon juice to the watermelon flavour.
      Good for virility without viagra.
