Jetstar Flights from $10 One Way (+ $35 Fee Per Booking): e.g. Sydney to Gold Coast [Jan to Jun] @ Webjet

111

Found on news.com.au

One-way flights start from $10 per person however there is a slight catch to the wild cost.

The $10 price is only for one way, with a return ticket costing at least $50.

Webjet also charges $35 in fees - with $12.95 going to the website’s booking price guarantee and $21.95 going to Webjet’s service fee. Note though if you're booking for several people, this fee isn't per person.

Despite the extra costs, the flights still work out cheaper than booking direct with an airline.

For a family of six flying return Sydney to Gold Coast, with the $10 one way sale and the $50 return ticket, Webjet will charge you $400 in total, equating to $33 per flight, per person.

"Webjet also charges $35 in fees - with $12.95 going to the website’s booking price guarantee and $21.95 going to Webjet’s service fee"… so then just book directly through the airline?

"Despite the extra costs, the flights still work out cheaper than booking direct with an airline."

      • Incorrect - show me one example where the price is cheaper than the Jetstar site. Quoting a $10 fare then adding a $35 additional cost when the fare is $45 on the Jetstar site is misleading and designed to deceive. This is advertising at its worst

  • So for one person, its $10+$50+35=$95?

Webjet's 'booking price guarantee' is the easily one of the biggest scam. It is compulsory and can not be opted out.

@OP please update title to reflect mandatory fees.

Sorry, not sure I understand, it's literally in the title? Is there something I'm missing?

kinda hard to go anywhere which sh"t that's going on so yeah you all good mate..

        • Well, as long as it worked out :)

  • Mandatory fees make this a no deal

  • I can only see SYD-OOL, and Jetstar won't price beat because of the fees?

In these times always book direct so you don’t have to deal with a third party for changes or refunds. In some cases, like complex itineraries, bookings with a trusted agent can be helpful for changes. I am not sure how much value you would get from webjet.
