folder options
where in folder options do I change so that when we look at our photo folder - that this icon does not display one of the photos in the album ? if I set to -always show icon, never thumbnails - then I cant see thumbnails inside folder - there used to be a way to set the main folder icon to just a yellow folder icon- not with one of the photos- what do I need to do ?

Yeah.
@melani00 - to change the folder icon: right-click on the folder, click Properties. Click on the "Customise" tab (far right), click the "Change Icon…" button down the bottom.
Folder options can be set based on specific folders. So on the main folder, leave it as "always show icon, never thumbnails" while in the photo folder, untick it. Also if you want to see thumbnails in the photo folder, change the view to Medium Icons or Large Icons.
