Car Was Damaged in The Apartment's Visitor Parking Space. Building Management Says There's No Footage. What Would You Do?

The building manager checked the the CCTV system but unfortunately, there was a power supply failure to the system and a week of footage is missing. So there is no footage of who damaged the car.

What would you do?

Yes "power supply failure" just when an incident happens. Sorry I call BS, well I have trust issues with strata or unit managers.

I had my spare tyres stolen in my closed garage in the unit and I asked for evidence cause there is a camera. The manager said: "oh there was a glitch with the cameras and the footage at that time could not be retrieved". Interesting how from "1pm to 2pm" that exact time frame footage was lost…..

Another time some guy broke the front glass entrance door and stole a few worthless paintings. I was speaking to the manager and asked if he got footage, he said: "no the cameras were down at that time"…. Oh yeah….. interesting how on 2 occasions the cameras either down or glitched out when something illegal happens…..

Reported these two incidents to the cops as it was sus as, cops came back to me a few weeks later and stated they found out the cameras were never recording, cops stated it was escalated but I don't know if strata or whoever got fined for it.
