This is a really great price for a very functional Seiko. Basic, but makes for a nice beater watch.

SUR271P normal price is $239. SSA383J can probably go down $199 or less on sale imo
Just noticed that it is a different watch. But this one was $350 10 minutes ago. I looked at it and thought it was much nicer but wasn't willing to pay $350. Then when I looked after the op was out of stock it dropped to $149.
I prefer the clean look of SUR271P but SSB315P is not bad either for the price.

For the $100-150 bracket, it would have to be the older Seiko 5s like SNK, or maybe an Orient instead

I think the OP watch and chrono version would be great as a daily beater or even for travelling (won’t hurt as much if you left it behind at the hotel).
