What Is The REAL Maximum eBay Gift Cards Redeemable Per Transaction?

Hi all, I did a bit of experimenting today by buying a bunch of low value $5 gift cards to add to my eBay order. To my surprise, even after adding 1 coupon code and 7 gift cards, eBay accepted an 8th gift card, fully covering my order. The general consensus both on OzBargain and the eBay T&Cs (https://pages.ebay.com.au/ebay-gift-cards-terms/) is that the total number of coupon codes AND gift cards cannot exceed 8, but here I pulled off 8+1. Does anyone know what the true maximum is?

    Just wait until you've bought some big value giftcards and try to use in on that one high-value item you've always wanted! lol 🤣

    Maybe it's changed recently? I recall not being able to do more than 7 cards + coupon a while back

    I think it's $500 Max per gift card?

    8+1 is the real max. It may take a few attempts to make them accepted.

      I've also applied 8 ebay gift cards and a coupon to an order. I got an error entering the 8th gift card and it got removed, but I added it again and the balance updated/order went through.
      A 9th ebay gift card didn't work at all though.
