Kogan First Has Become Worse (No Free Shipping Site Wide)

Just to add to the Kogan ozbargain hate, I have a Kogan First membership which came free with my Kogan Credit Card. Though I don't really use the card I kept it because it was no annual fee and on the rare occasions I bought something from Kogan I would get free shipping as part of the Kogan First membership.

Well it looks like they've quietly changed the Kogan First membership from free shipping on all items to free shipping on some items and "exclusive discounts" on many other items (therefore paying for shipping)

I was looking to buy a cheap sink strainer for $4 on Kogan, which before I would have gotten it for $4 delivered. Now they're giving me a whopping 20c discount and want to charge me $10 for shipping.

Good luck competing with Amazon. 🤦‍♂️

        I bought hair clippers for $5 delivered. It probably cost them money to send it to me. That's reasonably good. I bought the same model years ago for ~$15 from Kmart or Target or something like that.

      I was going to link the same thing!! I just bought a set from there. I was also looking at Amazon for sink strainers and was surprised to find them cheaper in store. I guess Amazon are hoping you can't be bothered to do any research for a $2 item and just buy

    It was not free shipping on all items in the beginning. Just like Amazon, the benefit excludes items from 3rd party sellers.

    If you are referring to "Joie Sink Strainer", it is sold by 3rd party seller "House".

      Actually I think you're right and ironically it might have actually gotten better, because now it's offering discounts on 3rd party sellers with Kogan First as well as free shipping on their own items.

      They should be advertising this better. I used to click the "First" filter to get only non-marketplace products. Now it seems this button is pretty pointless as it just includes everything anyway.

    Don't you just hate posters complaining about things because of their ignorance and smearing retailers' name for no valid reason?

    At least edit your post to something like: Silly bugger now understands why platforms (Kogan, Amazon, Catch, etc.) don't offer free shipping on everything even if you have paid for a free delivery subscription.
