Help Finding Lowest Price for Replacement Central Locking Fob for 2010 Honda CRV

I own a 2010 Honda CRV and live in Melbourne, postcode 3162.
I've unfortunately, as best I can determine, apparently accidentally thrown out the keys to with the only central locking fob that I own for the car.
The good news is that I had unlocked the car before doing so - so I have access to my cabin.
I also have an ignition key with one broken side (and one good side) that I have used to cut a working copy of the metal key itself in the past.
I also have access to another car to go out and drive somewhere to get the key cut, but it's my understanding that any fob itself would have to be paired on-site with the car present, meaning I will need a mobile Automotive Locksmith. Is that correct?
Can anyone please recommend to me the least expensive way to get a new fob made for this car in my area, and is it worthwhile to cut a new key before getting the fob done, or have the mobile locksmith do both at the same time?
Thank you.

  • Did you call any mobile locksmiths to see if they can do what you require? I thought for the fobs there was more required.

Theres quite a few when you try that www.google.com.au website and being mobile, dont really need to be in your area.

    • My fears were realised!

  • In case people have this problem, I found the cheapest way to fix the problem was to book an auto locksmith through RACV to lower the cost of the locksmith from $350 to $150 payable to the locksmith (no need to submit receipts or get a reimbursement). This more than made up for the cost of my Roadside Assist membership for the year.
