Home telephone

Hi All

I am looking for a cheap hands free home phone noticed one on topbuy (Doro615R) but not sure if this is good value
or not, looking to spend under $100. Another option is for me to use my flybuy points but usually like to use
these for restaurants. Any ideas?

  • The other alternative to buy a refurbished panasonic phone. Avoid any phone that is 2.4GHZ as these can conflict with wireless networks.

Panasonic rated well with choice. You can buy refurbished Panasonics at panatech, we have a store nearby at Tuggerah, you can also call Panatech at 9684 2111(02) for locations, and they have a presence on ebay. http://stores.ebay.com.au/Electronic-And-Electrical-Seconds

The local store has them with no box for as little at $20 for a 1.8GHZ TG1811AL model.

The ebay site has a 5.8GHZ model with answer machine and second handset starting at $99. - most of the past auctions got passed in at 109 so it a good chance this will be available for the $99. You can get them as low as $69 if you only want one handset

    (Shipping is $15)

  • Thanks Oz much appreciated I will check them out now.

    • i use and recommend the uniden 5.8ghz range of phones. they usually go on sale at dick smith powerhouse or similar places for around $150-$200 for an answering machine +3 handsets.
The panasonic phones are ok too but produce an echo with billion voip modems.
in fact: here ya go $159 at dick smith online
