    The besterest?

  • I have an esun filament dryer. From my experience, these thing makes literally no difference to the print quality. It acts as a good filament holder but that's about it.

If your filament is dry, that doesn't make difference, if it is wet, you can see the huge difference, unless the esun filament dryer doesn't work great.

    • I live in FNQ and have just bought my first 3d printer. It hasn’t arrived yet but I think I might need something like this to dry my filament because of the high humidity here. Should I get this or make my own from a food dehydrator? From my research I think I might need to feed from the dehydrator directly to the printer, a Flashforge Adventurer 3. I’ve looked at mods for the A3 and know I can feed filament from a hole in the door. I have a food vacuum machine I’ll use for any leftover filament.

  • Never had an issue, didn't even know this was a thing. But then again I am in Victoria.

Think it's for nylon filament mainly.

      • And PETG. Gets extra stringy/spitty.

  • Does this have humidity control? Because if has the capacity to keep filament or anything else between 5- 25% Rh then I've thought of a reason to buy a few of them.

It has temp control and drying time control, no humidity control. It shows real-time humidity though.

    • Cannabis production?

      • +2

If by cannabis you mean camera and production you mean storage, then yeah.
(Dehydrator would probably be better suited for that sort of thing)

        • +1

That's exactly what I meant (wink).

Just put your filament in vacuum bags from kmart, throw some silica packs in and you're good.

In my uneducated opinion Sunlu have a better deal here: https://slickdeals.net/f/15551413-sunlu-s1-filament-dryer-1-…
It’s around ten bucks more but it’s for 2 seperate single reel units.

He’s emailed me adjusted files for the sistema 7.5L container which is available in Aus.

    • Just checked out that video, and also a follow-up video for a spool re-wind mechanism for when you change filaments:

Any chance you could share the modified files for the 7.5L container?

      • Yeh no worries, I’ll double check he doesn’t mind me sharing first.

        • Awesome, thanks! Let me know how you go!
