Cheap Esim Using Telstra Network with Unlimited Calls -Suggestions?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a cheap esim to use for work in my Pixel 5 whilst travelling in remote locations around Australia.
Must have unlimited calls.

Does anyone know when Boost will be rolling out esims?

Providers like Boost Mobile, Belong and ALDI Mobile use the Telstra network and will be offering eSIM activation in the near future.

Nothing else has been heard for almost 12 months. Give Boost a call and ask them for an update.

  • Cheapest I know of at the moment with unlimited calls & long expiry that supports eSim is Woolworths Mobile's $65 15GB/180 Day Prepaid ($10.83 per 30 Days).
This runs on Telstra's Wholesale Network, so it'd be a good idea to check a few test areas on the Wholesale coverage map to see if it suits your requirements before biting the bullet.

  • I'm not sure if this will suit your circumstances….if your main phone line is Telstra or Boost (thus max coverage), you could get a cheap eSIM which supports WiFi calling and make it do WiFi calling from the main phone line's data. Need an iPhone though.

    • Do you know when they support Wifi calling? Thanks.

  • Telstra prepaid has a $30/300MB/6 Months option, could be good for the emergency use as a spare esim.

  • eSim is tricky. I use Tangerine Sim $10 a month for unlimited calls on Telstra with and Optus eSim $65 for 500gb of data 5G. And honestly, Optus has been pretty good in remote parts I’ve been in Victoria. Best deal I could work out for me.
