  • 7 business days is a 7th of Feb dispatch….

      Your skills are inspiring.

      • i do my best

    • +3

Then you need to add another week or more for Australia Post to deliver it…

    • What's on the 7th?

      • +1

Buying tests that far out IMO is iffy, particularly when for a similar price/lower there are RATs popping up every day for instant dispatch.

  • Noob question..can you use these for international travel? Specifically, travel to USA

    • +1

The problem with any at-home RAT test is that you need documentation of your result from the "Entity issuing the result (e.g., laboratory, healthcare entity, or telehealth service)" and the documentation needs to have your name with DOB or passport number.

See "Test and Documentation Requirements" at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-…

Histopath has locations at Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane airports. From personal experience flying to the USA last month, I used the airport testing and it was both cheaper and faster than anyone else offered at the time. You're already spending $$$ on the flight, just pay the $60 and get proper documentation from people who do international tests all day long.

      • @densmorek how long does the test takes? Which test did you take? There’s seem to be a few different one. Cheers

      • Did you do the test on the day of your flight (in case of maybe delay) or a day before? Did you fly domestically? I'm going California to Florida but staying in California for two days prior. Would I need to get re tested? Thanks for the valuable reply

        • Sorry, I don't glance at my notifications often. In case you are still curious…I did mine the day before because I was near the airport anyway and didn't want to show up any earlier than I had to on the day of the flight. Delayed flights don't impact your test timing, that would be a nightmare. If I remember correctly, it was right around an hour for results. The testing centre was a very well oiled machine.

I did fly domestically in the US. Absolutely nothing is needed for that (no tests, no vaccine). Just have to wear a mask in US airports and on the plane.

    Not really a bargain.

  • The good thing about catch is they have shopback.

  • +4

Can't wait for the day when I check ozbargain and I don't see the word "clungene" on the new deals.

Given the appallingly bad private sector response to the global pandemic - specifically not vaccinating large numbers of people to make as much money as possible as millions die - that day is probably going to be many years away.

Australia didn't buy a cheaper vaccine being shipped from Sinopharm for a period of eight months while it waited to buy more expensive vaccines.

Naturally they'll vote for more privatisation.

  • Plenty of stock arrived and in CWH. Wait for the price to drop.

    • $10 is the RRP. Need overstock, which may come mid Feb when big orders come in. So around late Feb, depending on covid numbers.

  • Thank Op 👍
