      It's 1/4 moisturising cream.

What do you think the other 3/4 is?
They may call it a "beauty bar" mate, but regardless of it's Ph, softness etc, it's still SOAP!

Beauty bar is a marketing term.

I agree its a very gentle soap, we only use Dove at home…. but it IS soap.

  • To all the people that downvoted me. Show me a single item of dove packaging that says it is "soap".

    • Dove Beauty Soap Bar
That what it is. They can put anything they want on the package, however the Dove Store calls it soap.

      P.S. I didn't downvote you

      • I would argue that the person doing the Amazon listing doesn't know what their product is, or they're deliberately trying to mislead people which is why their products are also the same size and shape of soap bars.

The packaging still doesn't say soap. The only place their packaging does say soap, is when they're saying it isn't.

        • Their marketing:

"If you have sensitive skin, you know how important it is to choose the right cleansing products. Good sensitive skin care depends on having a cleanser that truly cares for your skin and won’t dry it out, and once you find something that works, you stick with it. So here’s some good news: Dove Sensitive Beauty Cream Bar gives you truly mild cleansing that leaves sensitive skin feeling soft and smooth. This Dove sensitive skin bar brings you the classic Dove cleansers and ¼ moisturising cream in a fragrance-free, hypoallergenic bar that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. Suitable for daily use, it helps protect skin’s natural moisture and can be used on your hands, body or face. Get the gentle skin care for sensitive skin that you deserve – try Dove Sensitive Beauty Cream Bar. Rub your Dove Sensitive Beauty Cream Bar between your hands to create lather. Smooth the foam over your skin, massaging gently. Then just rinse off the foam with warm water. Dove Sensitive Beauty Cream Bar is mild enough to be used every day, even on your face, without worrying about it drying out or irritating your skin. That’s because it is not a soap bar, it’s a Dove beauty bar, specially designed by skin care experts to be unscented, hypoallergenic and gentle for sensitive skin."

They tried soooo hard to not mention the word soap. They mentioned bar a stack of times, because of course people wash themselves with BARS hahahahha.

Rub the bar between your hands to create lather. Smooth the foam over your skin, massaging gently. Then just rinse off the foam…

It's SOAP dude!!! Don't fall for the marketing rubbish!! You don't wash your skin with "bars", and rinse off "foam".
They've on purpose not mentioned the word soap due to marketing, not because it isn't soap.

          • @UFO: Ok, so why is it they make a huge effort not to use the word "soap", if it "really is" soap? Everybody calls it soap, why wouldn't they just call it soap? Unless it actually isn't soap.

@TheSnyper: To answer your question, MARKETING. They purposefully avoid the word soap, not because it isn't soap, but because that's their marketing strategy.

This has been fun, but I won't reply anymore. It IS soap dude.

              • @UFO: Ok. My final remark also, and the reason I discovered it's not soap, is because whenever I went to the inlaws house I could never figure out why I couldn't wash the soap off in the shower. It would always leave a slimy film on my skin. That's when I figured out it's not soap. Soap washes off.

                • @TheSnyper: It's just a highly moisturising soap thats designed to leave a moisturising film, and it's probably more hydrophobic than hydrophilic. If you need to wash it off, it's soap.

                • @TheSnyper: Soap dries out the skin, which is why so many people use this type of product now instead.

The things that trouble some people, lol..

  • +1
