Cheapest BlackVue DR750X-2CH PLUS Dashcam Available Now

Hey all!

Wondering if someone could find me a good deal for the BlackVue DR750X-2CH PLUS (32G) dashcam.

Unfortunately I missed the Boxing Day sales that Autobarn was running here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/673855

I can't find anything priced even remotely close - best I've found is $599.

I've checked and contacted Autobarn, AutoOne, Repco, Dashcams Australia, JB Hi-Fi and no one can even come close to the low 500s, let alone 400s.

Would be great if someone knew of a better place to look!

All the auto chains usually do at least one sale on dashcams per year at 30% off and is about as good as it gets. There should be a couple of 20% off sales during the year as well. You'll either need to wait and keep an eye out or pay normal prices. You might get lucky at Easter FWIW, I seem to recall it's always one of the good sales for dashcams.

    • Thanks mate, fingers crossed one pops up soon then! Don't think I'll be able to wait a few months

  • If you’re not in a hurry just wait. Sales will pop up again.

    • Unfortunately just got a car and I'm pretty keen on getting my hands on one sooner rather than later given how bad drivers have been recently. Guess I'll just have to wait or cop a rough price..

      • If you have a price protection credit card you can buy now and claim later?

  • Wanna grab this next sale too 👍🏻

  • Autobarn does regular 20% off's throughout the year. As others have said, just keep an eye out for the sales.

    • To be fair, there is a big difference between under 500 and over 600 dollars.

If it was just like 50 bucks or less, I'd probably bite the bullet.

$599 is $50 off MSRP, but barely any retailers sell it for 649. $599 is the standard price you can get without having to wait for a sale.

Found this eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SALE-BLACKVUE-DR750X-2CH-PLUS-32… that comes to $529 using the code SPSAVE.

There is also the previous model for what looks like $64: https://redlinetuning.com.au/product/blackvue-dr750x-2ch-32g…

got it for 500 from this link after they accepted my offer.

      • Was the offer 549 + SPSAVE code or was the offer for 500? Thanks

Apologies, I'm not @justo316 but "They accepted my offer" seems to imply the "Make Offer" option.

Maybe give it a shot since the worst thing they can do is say no? Who knows, they may even accept <$500? :fingerscrossed:

Yeah sorry, made an offer for 510. Took the 549 counter offer then used the code for 50 off.

  • Is this easy to install DIY or pro recommended?

Watch some YouTube videos and decide for yourself, no one here knows how proficient you are with such things.

I installed my first one myself recently; was half a day of fiddling around, a couple trips to bunnings and jaycar, a few broken clips and I broke the rear camera a day or two later when I took my daughter's scooter out of the boot and it got caught in loose cabling.

So going off my experience, was all that trouble worth saving ~$200…depends how much you value your time and money.

I was all set to employ someone to fit it, but after spending a night watching installation videos, mainly regarding fuse tapping and how to choose a fuse, I will be doing it myself. Looks easy now.

FWIW if you have some basic skills it's pretty easy. I've installed about a dozen of them now, some cars can be a little easier than others and it could be worth getting a cheap set of panel tools off ebay etc as they really do make it easier.

        • Yeah, the only thing extra I had to buy was a cheap multimeter just to make sure I have the fuse taps the right way round.

          • @justo316: You could get away with just a test light but given you can get a multimeter for around $12 it's not a bad idea.

            • @apsilon: Yeah, I've been meaning to get a cheapy just for the odd thing it would come in handy for twice a year, but have put it off until now.

Got it for 459 from ebay link above with code. Possibly 4% if CB tracks. Now just 70 days til the new car lands…

      • I also reached out to blackvue AU direct just to check (https://www.blackvue.com.au/) and they mentioned that "131electronics is not an authorised reseller."

        • @williamzio stolen really?
@heybargain good to know. I was thinking import version like kogan or catch would do…

  • Sorry for reviving this post but desperate for one as just took delivery of my new car last Friday and there are too many idiots out on the roads. I bought a DR900X-2CH Plus from Blackvue.com 3 days ago and used a 10% promo code available online. Received an email from Blackvue today saying that the order has been canceled due to invalid promo code and received the refund from PayPal. Did anyone end up buying from 131electronics Ebay Store? Thanks

    • Yes I did. They are fine.
