Was browsing old deals and clicked on link from a previous deal shared by snowdognz https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/661224
Looks like it's gone on sale again but cheaper this time. Snowdognz looks like he's got some tips when purchasing on previous deal when purchasing.

Happy Wololoing.

You can get 5 months of Game Pass for that… or cheaper though a bunch of deals. Horses for courses I guess.

Yeah more like a year if you use a vpn.

Interesting how Game Pass affects game purchases. If you only want to play the single player campaign once, Game Pass is a no brainer. If you want to play the multiplayer over a prolonged period, buying it outright may make more sense.

    • if anyone is going to buy this game get the deluxe version you will get a who bunch of extras the free "gamepass" standard version doesnt' have. buying it is for the fans :D

    Or free on Game Pass.

With a VPN, about a years worth of this game and many others.

    or stick with AOE2DE

Yeah I haven't pulled trigger yet, still a diehard AOE2 fan.
I'll probably wait till it's scraping the bargain bin, thought it was worth sharing.

  • I think all the other ones are on sale too.

After playing this last night for the first time with my brother in-law, it felt like an early access game..

Aoe2 has so much more polish if you ignore the 3D Vs 2D

    • It is still definitely early days but they are introducing a lot of improvements fast so keep your eyes posted on future updates because they are actively making it the great game it is going to be.

Always bugs that need to be squashed but come back in 2-3 years time and it will be a bulletproof king again no doubt.

Personally still waiting for some one to attempt a Heroes of Might and Magic RTS or Lord of the Rings RTS.. Total War to me does not count.. it is its own genre.

I would play the hell out of a good proper Dungeons and Dragons classic base building unit spawning fantasy RTS.. we need this with the enormity of what the DND universe is capable of… basically limitless possibilities of units and creatures and characters etc whatever your imagination can think of from all those great fantasy books we used to read.

I keep staying around just solely for this.. oh yeah and the usual good feed :)

Nothing beats fried chicken and chips :)
