Serious Supplements - Optimum Nutrition Whey - $79.95

21

I'm a big fan of Serious Supplements and feel obliged to let people know about the sale they have running.

As the title states, Optimum Whey 5lb is going for $79.95 - cheapest price I have seen on the Internet. I think this sale has been running for a while - I haven't seen any advertisement on when the sale ends though. Most of their product pricing seems to be cheaper than the other major supp stores.

  • Vitamin King sells this for $85. Makes it cheaper if you want to pick it up.

  • add an extra $8 for shipping and the price is pretty average

How about this one? I am not so sure which one is better. But my instructor suggested me this

I used the unflavoured one in the past, mixes well and taste is about the same as other unflavoured protein brands (proteindirect and rogers foods?).

ON is a blend of WPI and WPC, and if you compare the figures, the bulknutrition WPI has a higher concentration of protein and lower fat and carbs.

      100g ON BulkNutrition
      Energy 1652kJ 1594kJ
      Protein 79g 90.5g
      Carbs 9.8g 0.9g
      Fat 3g 1.1g

So in essence, you're getting slightly better value using BN. BUT THAT BEING SAID, ON is a really great tasting shake

      • Yeah even I noticed that. It has got more protein content than most of the top brands with huge ads and close to half the price (I picked up a 1KG Vital Strength WPI for $69 from my chemist last month).

I wanted to know what you guys think as well. Thanks for the reply :)

try No bull supplements as well. Also have a look at proteindirect. These are the top three bulk protein blends in Oz

  • Supplement Warehouse has it for the same price (I have even seen them have it for $75 before):

On a side note, i too have used Bulk Nutrients and highly recommend their protein

I Get this from my Local Guy for $70.

  • How does this compare to eating $79.95 of fresh food?

    • Obviously no comparison to real food, but better protein/cost ratio when compared to lean meat.

    10LB $153.90 Delivered with free t-shirt and creatine…

    This is not a bargain

    • Don't compare 5LB prices with 10LB prices.

    • If you had actually bothered to look, you will find it's the cheapest price in Australia for 5lbs of ON whey.

  • It's not a bargain, nevertheless, it doesn't deserve a neg.
