PBC Expo Sydney Discounts - Pram and Carseat

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to ask if anyone was going to be attending the expo this weekend if they could do me a favour. I live a fair way away from the expo location and therefore do not want to waste the trip there if I don't have to considering I have a toddler and newborn.

I am looking to check out the prices for the following:

1) Uppababy Vista V2 with rumble seat

2) Cybex Gazelle S with second seat and carry cot

3) Britax B-Grow Clicktight front facing carseat

I have a fair idea of what these costs currently and was wondering if anyone who was attending could snap some photos or provide an update on what the three items would cost at the expo? That would be very very much appreciated. Thank you!

From experience I don't think the prices at these expos are particularly special.

    • Same tbh. They’ve got that scammy cream too that’s supposedly for stretch marks: it doesn’t work

  • Only Redsbaby from memory had a good discount.

For your list - i think its best to follow Baby Bunting/Village sales

Last year Baby Bunting sold all their PCB floor stock for 20% off the current price (even if it was on special already). But they would pre sell it to the first person who asked for it, then you pick it up after the expo. You had to be there in the first hour of the first day to get anything. I was lucky enough to score a great deal on a car seat.

If you are hoping to get a deal without buying floor stock I think you are out of luck - the prices are pretty standard.

  • nothing special with the prices, maybe slightly cheaper. once your consider your time and travel cost, you're better getting it locally or online if you live far away.

  • I went last year and uppababy vista v2 was same price as baby bunting $1649 (I believe the vista has recently increased in price though). There were sooo many people at the uppababy section and it was so hard to talk to a rep.

It would probably be better for you to monitor baby village/baby kingdom for sales on them and then go to baby bunting and price match and get them to beat by 5% (provided the prices at village/kingdom are cheaper). Sometimes baby village/baby kingdom have sales which include bonus upper adaptors and parent organiser which bunting will throw in to match. I personally had to wait for buntings spend and earn days (ran about 3 times a year) but now they’ve incorporated it into their free vip program (earn $10 for every $200 spent). Sometimes I found vic baby stores are generally cheaper to price match. I personally went home and paid $1520 for the vista using above method and then I got $250 voucher to spend which went towards a car seat

  • In 2018 we got an uppababy minu bundled in with the 2018 vista for not really a whole lot more, for us it was worth it. I guess it was a win win for them though as Im fairly sure around that time the minu was discontinued anyway.

  • We bought a Vista V2 at the show in Brisbane last year. Paid $1649 which was the same as retail price at the time, but it came with $300 accessories voucher to let you buy accessories from the distributor Coolkidz at full RRP. YMMV if this is good value for you based on what accessories you want to get, but it suited us.

    • Same deal this year, but the Vista V2 increased to $1749 + $300 Coolkidz voucher. Pretty sure the voucher will be useful and it is the best deal we've seen compared to what's available at retail stores. The next closest deal was during New Years, baby village (or some place similar) had additional 5% off. Hard to come by a bargain for the Vista!

Also, the Cruz V2 came in at $1200 including a 2018 bassinet (not expandable to fit 2 babies).

  • Interested to know the deals for the melb show later this month

  • well its expo weekend! Hope to hear feedback from you guys who attended today thanks in advance
