Been watching prices for a while. This is the pen version not mech pencil.

  Great price for 600 pens.
  For real though, I don't know what a $30 pen is. How is it different to my 10 cent Bic. No judgement - I imagine their is a legit reason.

    For me, it's really an aesthetic thing. There's just some sense of satisfaction I get about holding something weighty, solid and (hopefully) smooth writing.

    I can't quite explain it. I have a few nice pens and I rotate through them regularly, along with cheapies. I don't spend more than about $50 tho.

    for me it's mainly the aesthetic and build quality as trying to piece together a triple black EDC kit of quality parts.

    My writing is akin to chicken scratch.

    used by jason bourne in bourne identity ….. he didn’t use 10c bic …… these rotrings are made in japan ….. no longer made in germany ….. but still great pens …. after the live prices of black doting pens tripled …….until they started to make them in japan again …..

      Japan would be my second choice after Germany if I wanted something precisely made. So all good.

    I have a Rotring Quattro I used waaaayyyy back in the day (mid '90s) when I worked in underground mines as a Surveyor, still going strong today.

    For a ballpoint, zero difference IMO for the odd note, the Quattro had a pen (red and blue) a highlighter, and pencil which I needed for work.

    That said, these days I really dislike how ballpoint pens write and I use and prefer a fountain pen (home) and gel pen (travel or out n about). I have come full circle and use a paper journal etc these days

  Just giving my point of view.

  I have the mechanical pencil and I find the metal grip starts to hurt my fingers after a while.

  Feels incredible in your hand in terms of weight though.

  I have the mechanical pencil version and it’s great quality. For a pen I have it in a pouch with my Lamy Safari as I prefer the feel of a fountain pen, but all in all a good quality workmanship.

  I have a Silver version. I've read in some reviews that black version paint is not very reliable. Plus I found it very slim for my use. It's almost like a normal pencil in width, weighty though as it's all metal and its long too. This pen uses Parker G2 style refills so you have a lot of options including using Fisher Space refills (FS refills come with Parker converter).

    These take parker type G2 refills. The same ones in a parker Jotter that has been on OZB.

    You can buy them for between $3-5 in eBay if you buy in packs of 5. You do not have to buy parker ones, as long as they are parker style g2 refills

  How is the tip on these. Ive tried using the xiaomi and I just cannot get a good run out of the ink and end up screwing up any quick note taking I am doing.

    Idk if it helps but I thought the xiaomi pen was good. I got it for free though so idk. Got stolen in 6 months
