Anyone with eufy Video Doorbell 2k (E8210CW1) Still Have The Screw Hole Positioning Card

I am considering to replace the Google Nest Doorbell Battery with Eufy Doorbell 2k (E8210CW1).
Before making the purchase, i am trying to check if the distance between the screw holes on those are similar.
The distance between the screw holes on Google Nest Doorbell Battery is 10 cm with about 3 mm allowance.
I would be appreciated if can share the distence between the screw holes on Eufy Doorbell 2k (E8210CW1), if any of you still have the Screw Hole Positioning Card thats included in the box.

Also, if anyone out there owns Eufy Doorbell 2k(E8210CW1), is there any known issue with device?

Long Strory
I bought Google Nest Doorbell Battery back in August last year with this deal.

Since the release, this device had an issue with the app that you cannot talk throught the google home app (Low volume issue) which is still not fixed. You can find more issues on this topic if do a search on nest community forum if you are interested.
From about 1 months after the installation, the doorbell started to give me a delayed notification with the delay ranging 1 min to an hour. The delay seems to be random. Some times there is a delay, some times not. I only found out about the issue when someone rang the doorbell, and when i went out, there was nobody there. After checking the footage, the doorbell was showing timestamp about 30 min earlier.
When i contacted the Google support, they took me through series of troubleshooting process. In the end, resetting the device seem to have fixed the issue.
However, about three weeks later, this started to happening again. Reset fixed the issue again.
Now, i feel this device is usuless as this is not serving the purpose that is designed for.
So i am planning to request a refund under ACL and buy other product.

By looking at the online reviews, Eufy Doorbell 2k (E8210CW1) seems to be a good alternative.
But before making the purchase, i wanna find out if the distance between the hole on both devices match or not for clean installation.
If not, i guess i will have to look for other options like adding a wood backing or drill another hole.

Anyway, if one of you out there still have the Screw hole position card that came with your Eufy Doorbell 2k (E8210CW1), i would be appreciated if you could share the distance between the screwholes.

Thanks :D

  • I found this online. Hope it's the one you are looking for.

    • Thanks. I found it as well, but 2.7 inch (6.85 cm) seemed too small, given the height on device dimension is 140 mm. So, i am guessing this is th position card for different model.

Measuring the mounting card for the eufy 2k doorbell, Centre to centre measurement of the mounting holes is 93 mm.

    • Thanks :D
Thanks only few mil diffrence. I might be lucky if it has some allowance as well.
I will give it a shot. Thanks :D

    Just drill a new hole

While i understand that is an option, i would not want to drill a new hole on my house everytime i want to replace a doorbell. I would either find a product with the similar or same spec, or add a timber backing.
Or i am considring adding or widening the hole on the mounting plate if distance between screw holes is similar. As OrzyDoo confirmed it to be 93mm, i guess i might get lucky as there is only 7 mm difference.
I just started the refund process to see what happens :D

It's not often you will replace a doorbell so I don't think there will be many holes to be drilled. Otherwise just fill the holes with putty/paint and you won't know the difference. Probably won't notice anyway if the backing plate is covering the holes

Replace the cladding, will be tough to sleep knowing there’s an empty hole behind the new one

  • stick a toothpick in the hole. rinse. repeat

you can drill a hole in the EUFY doorbell holder plate to match your existing holes. This is what i did.

    • Thanks for the tip!
I was the back plate may be to flimsy.
I will definitely do the same :D
