Samsung Care Plus replacing Z Fold 2 with Z Fold 3

So my Galaxy z fold 2 broke down. I submitted swap request with Samsung care plus. They advised that no stock availability and I waited for 1 month.

Obviously I got frustrated, so called them and spoke to manager. To my surprise , not only they refunded my swap fee of 299 but also sent me the new Z fold 3. Nice play Samsung.

So it may help someone who is in similar situation.

    If only Samsung was consistent with this kind of customer service all the time, I'm sure they'd have a lot more customers.

      Agreed.
      I almost always tell people to stay away from the Samsung Care+ warranty. Guess it works out sometimes. Apple Care+ is worth it too, for big ticket items, well sometimes.

      • Just curious, why stay away from it? Bad/really slow replacement service?

          They do have an Australian presence, and it's more these days than years past. But they were always difficult to work with. Had them deny hardware issues for software concerns, some people have taken them to court, etc etc.

          In contrast to Apple, you pay twice as much, but the support is much better.

          Other brands are non-existent like Sony and LG and Motorola, as well as Chinese Brands. Google's Pixel is a bit hit and miss: lots of issues, and they're usually quick on the draw to just give you a refund (sometimes a replacement).

    • yeah plz give us the number, my fold 3 had been repaired two times already.

      • What number did you reach out to them, I am trying since 3 days I can proceed with requesting a swap as there website is not sending me the OTP to login
