Which Couch Stores Have Australian Stock?

I was at Plush the other day and finally chose a couch and when I got to the point of ordering they said it's a 14-18 week wait. I'd like a couch much sooner! Are there any stores that keep their stock in Australia? I'm happy to wait a month or so.

    Ikea

    • Oh yes! I didn't think of them. I've looked in the past and I don't love theirs, they're not soft enough for my fussy back. I also really like the electric recliner option which I don't think Ikea has

But there's definitley satisfaction to be had in wanting something today and driving home with it same day. Even if its not the "best".

        • You're not wrong! But this is the first sofa in my life that I'm not taking off the side of the road or someone's porch so I really want it to be right.

@gdogdiggity: I have a vimle from ikea and it’s great. It’s not a sofa bed but I have friends crash the night on it and they all comment how good it is. I’ve fallen asleep on the couch at night far too many times too and just stayed until morning because it is very comfy.

            • @jjjaar: Well I won't get much argument if I suggest a trip to Ikea so it's on the list!

  • Lounges Plus usually have items in-stock, often with only 2 weeks delivery.

  • Plush 3 year ago had the same timeline - if they are maintaining it, I would call it a win

I live close to a https://www.loungelovers.com.au store and warehouse. They seem to have a metric sh*t-tonne of stock (at least here in Sydney). A few weeks ago we needed a 2.5 seater sofa bed. We picked an in-stock colour and style and the warehouse staff had it picked and ready to go within the hour.

  • Brosa. Not all styles will be quick but they do have some with ETA 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the style and materials you choose. We had ours and happy with the material. The stock was available very quick, just that our house was not ready so they hold the item for us for few weeks, very good customer service.

    • Brosa told me 12 weeks so maybe I just picked the wrong one!

  • Sometimes you can buy floor stock at places like Plush, HN , etc. Just get it cleaned and scotch guarded. Will be cheaper and you’ll have it straight away. There will only be certain models and colour available this way though.

We bought 2 sofas from Freedom on Sunday during their buy 1 get 1 half price sale and they're being delivered today. In SA so not sure what stock is in VIC. Don't rely on what shows in stock or not on their website as it's not accurate.

  • On another note - Plush just bought out by Nick Scali.
