Digital Piano for Beginner

Comments
 - Casiotone? Seen it at Costco.
 - Casio Privia PX160 Digital Piano. - My daughter is learning piano and this was what was recommended to us by the teacher. It has proper piano weighted keys and an action that feels identical to a real piano. Sounds like a real piano as well. Is pretty slim line and doesn't take up any space. It isn't a cheap, nasty unit though. You cant just chuck it in a cupboard and get it out when you need it, it's really solid and quite heavy. - Another good point is that you can plug your headphones in and go to town on it and makes virtually no noise. I plug my iPad into ours and use some piano tutorial apps for the daughter to practice with in virtual silence. - They are about $800, but for what you get and how it feels and sounds, it is well worth the investment. If you can wait, they often come up in the 10~20+% off sales on eBay and are not usually in the typical price jacked categories.
 - You could just get a midi keyboard and plug it into an iPad, then you can use any voices you want, there's even a Moog synth app.
 - Kawai es110 or Yamaha p125.
