not sure if anyone has older versions of these….have used a few generations of these before. After about 6-12 months of great usage, they start to get quite "crackly" in sound, to the point where it's almost unusable (at least very annoying for both the user and receiver). Not sure if firmware, or updates to newer generations have resulted in improved performance.

Any one care to comment on your own personal experiences with these?

Have Voyager Pro (the generation prior) and 5200 for about 2-3 years now, no issues with quality or battery at all. Tips broke and that's about it.

I like that it's light and out of the way compared to overhead headphones. folds compact to go easily into a pocket.

    • Are you paired with two devices at the same time? I find when I’m paired to PC via dongle and phone Bluetooth at the same time, a call on either on them ends up being crackly

      • I don't use the dongle, I do multi pairing on BT to phone and laptop most of the time. No issues.

    • I've consistently used Plantronics and whilst they're generally good I can't say they've been faultless.
I had a Plantronics headset on my Xbox 360, no problems at all.
Plantronics headsets in my workplaces, no problems at all.
Plantronics Backbeat Fit, 1st pair lasted about 2-3 years of pretty heavy usage before getting a bit rattly. Wasn't too concerned considering I'd been wearing them at the gym and rinsing them in the shower. I bought a 2nd pair but had that replaced under warranty within less than a year, but the replacement pair has been fine ever since.
Cheap Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece from Officeworks, works a treat. Although like purpleturtle said, if there are 2 devices connected and both are fighting for audio, it goes very 'robotic'.

    • Exactly my experience. Had two pairs replaced under warranty, both shat themselves and started to go crackly/distorted to where people couldn't hear me on that other end of the line. This model is the dumpster fire of Bluetooth headsets.

  • I've had this one for almost 2 years now, no audio quality issues

  • These are good. Just know that in some earlier ones off the production line the battery deteriorated just after the 12m mark.

The noise cancelling is fantastic especially in vehicle or in direct wind.

  • I have this one for work, with the charging case and its been great. Had about 2 years of use and only issue was the little silicon ear bit broke. They come with spares so all good

    • I ordered a bunch of spare tips from AliExpress.

  • I have this as well and paid about $170ish about a year ago (edit: with the extra charging case bundle), the ear tip broke but that’s ok considering the sound and mic quality is superior to all others I have tried at this level. Very happy and this price is very tempting to buy another one.. hmmmm

  • Great set, not the most comfortable for me, but absolutely great sound, I have them for more than a year and they still work well. Voice quality is the best in this format.

  • It says without charger.

  • Hi folks, got mine this morning, seems to work fine so far (not had this one before). Will be on the road for a few hours later on so will get to test it more then.

    • Does it come with charger?

      • No, just a charge cable (standard USB type A to micro USB). Plug into any USB port.

  • The price has gone up to $118.78. Not sure if I'm supposed to expire the deal, or edit the price? Or nothing?

  • Is there any chance to price match from JB if it’s the same as following,
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/plantronics-voyager-v5200…

    • Don't know but perhaps would have been worth a shot as both pages have the same manufacturer part number (‎203500-108). Amazon deal expired now though.

  • Actually…one feedback is that it's on the quiet side. would love for the earpiece to be able to go louder and keeping (or improving) sound quality, would be cool to be able to listen to music.
