What is the best trade in deal for the Samsung Galaxy Ultra S22?

I'm looking to trade in a second hand Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra but am unsure which store is the cheapest after trade in. I'm leaning towards the Samsung Education Store at this stage. Thoughts?

I'm sure you took two seconds to actually search before making a post as the deals are every where atm…

Do some of the leg work install the Samsung app and get a price and maybe have a look ?

It is quite sad, and a real shame that a very small minority of the OzBargain community need to try and belittle other members by insinuating that people are lazy. It is a growing trend I see way too often on this website. Unfortunately I am time poor, as are the majority of the population, working full time and caring for two year old twins.
By posting on the OzBargain forum, I was just hoping to gain greater insight into the trade in process, which I haven't completed before. My objective was to gather as much information as possible, from the very knowledgable OzBargain members, through the experiences they had trading in their used phone (to achieve the best available price) in their attempt to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. I thought that was the goal of this website, to support other members in obtaining the best price possible for an item of interest.
Anyway happy to go through the process tonight, when I get the chance. Thanks again for the constructive feedback.

I'm honestly confused as well, the availabilities of the vouchers seem to be continuously changing and there's different retailers - before it was just Samsung doing the offers. Absolutely no idea what is the best deal here.

Certainly nothing wrong asking questions, even if asked a million times, or can be easily googled, some of us use it to start a conversation, thought that was what Ozbargain was all about, not just about bargains, my 2 cents

IMO if you a just a general retail consumer (e.g) no access to Samsung EDU or Gov portals then there are a couple of options depending on your wants/needs:

Do you have a trade device? if yes, then JB is offering $50 more bonus than Samsung (450vs400) and are likely to value your device higher.
Do you want a new low end tablet? if yes, then Telstra is giving away a free Tab8 with preorder.
Do you want a Galaxy Watch4? if yes, Optus is giving away with preorder.
Do you want a Amazon Echo Show 8? if yes then pre order from Amazon.
If you answered no to all of the above or just want to purchase outright from a non telco then Amazon will give you the free Echo Show which you can also resell if you wish.

    Hope it helps!

Thanks so much mouski for taking the time and effort to provide some very constructive feedback…. Really appreciate it!
I have narrowed it down to the Samsung Education Portal and JB HI FI.
Thanks again for your very informative and analytical comment. You're a legend! 👍

There is also Vodafone with $600 bonus trade-in voucher the highest overall bonus trade-in voucher so far I've seen but there is a catch in their T&C's, you must stay on the month to month (stating no contracts) selected postpaid plan which one pre selects and is pro rata for the $600 bonus trade-in voucher over 12, 24 or 36 months you choose to pay off S22 phone also over those set months, this is only great probably the best option if you stick with Vodafone, maybe already existing customer and Vodafone service is great

mouski is surely better at explaining things

And also thanks OP for posting

    • I did the Samsung EDU store for about $1300 with the Buds and a cheap case

    • Hey OP, I just traded my phone to JB. They're offering an additional $450 towards any S22 product. Helped me as an incentive to get $1K off, more than what the resale of my phone would be anyway. Hope this helps!

Squaretrade are also allowing you to send your phone back to them within 28 days as opposed to the 5 days allowed given its pre-order at the moment.

      Hope this helps mate.

Might have been answered before but do you lose the bonus if you don't send in your device? My phone in perfect condition is worth $5 but mine has a cracked back and some screen burn ins.
