I had to buy a pair of these on South America when the shoes I brought from Australia disintegrated. They lasted me about nine months and did thousands of kms hiking. Super comfortable, waterproofing worked well, but the grips certainly weren't perfect (and were completely worn through at the end).

If a pair can last thousands of kms of walking, it would certainly be worth it.

I reckon a 1000km is a fair estimate but I was afraid a sharp rock or spiny plant would go straight through the bottom at the end!

  • Got mine, cheers OP.
