    @ Coles Melbourne

*not sure will there be any extra discount

  • So how does this work?

    • +9

You go to woolworths liquor, Select wine, Pay, Leave, Drive Home, Consume, Laugh the night away and leave a positive vote for dejay on ozbargain. Too easy.

    • "Also 1+2 deal for $25 or $8.33 per bottle." That's how.
10% discount would probably be for 6 or more bottles of wine on top of this special.

  • Wow, at Dans its
    $146.58 for 12 x South Island
    $86.10 for 6 x Soneleigh
    =$232.68

    And you paid $121.20.

WOW. I want a piece of this, my missus loves those 2 wines.

    BEST WINE DEAL EVER!

I liked the way you paid cash and saved an extra 2 cents. Good job.

    • And I thought I was the only one optimizing at this level.

    • Anyone else does that for cashout at Selfserve?

      $49.98 for %50 out?

  • +3

Not quite sure how you got 72% off … My maths puts it at ~58%.

    Still a bargain, nonetheless.

    • +1

      So does mine

      • +2

I rechecked price and you guys are right. My maths is wrong. Thanks for the correction.

I just went down and got this.

$120ish for 18 GOOD quality Sauv Blancs. I have some big nights ahead.

Also used everday rewards card so I score those all important 91 points for Qantas… 50 more years and I have a trip to Launceston!!!

    • +3

Launceston will be closed down by then.

      • +1

And there will be $2100 taxes, fees and surcharges in addition to the FF points.

  • +2

Not as good as the carton of 2010 Renmano River Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon for $5 including delivery… but still a pretty good deal I suppose… (that deals no longer available though). http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/68068

  • Finally Nelson is doing good by us :)

  • Just went and got this deal, but could choose between South Island and Overstone. Ended up with 6 each of Stoneleigh, South Island and Overstone. Now to wait for summer. Anyone got a good red wine deal?

  • +1

this is the second week of this deal, expires Tuesday next week.

  • Has Chardonnay really gone out of fashion?

    • +2

agreed.. sav blanc taste like the cats wee. heh. unwooded chardy is a more refined yet still zesty. regular chardy bit to buttery to pair with many modern foods.

      • Yep premium age-able wines (chardonnay and riesling, which can age for 10-50 years if good quality) are out of fashion.

Passionfruit flavoured cat's urine is in.

I'd disagree that non-buttery chards are necessarily more food friendly. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Just about any dish that has cheese or butter in it will go better with a buttery chardonnay.

    • if you like dry whites, go with a Riesling / Sauvignon Blanc, but for a fuller, more flavoursome drop can't go past a well-chilled Pinot Gris / Pinot Grigio, especially on a warm day in the sun!

  • In which stores/regions is this available? Is it advertised in-store or online?

  • I just got the same deal from Woolies liqour Forest Hill (Melbourne). Plenty of stock. Went with the South Island as the extra / bonus bottles. Yay!!!

  • Great deal!
I bought 3 of the Stoneleigh and 6 of the South Island for $60.60!!!
    3 @ $25 deal
and 10% off the normal prices which came to $60.60.

    Winning!

  • Yep I love this deal, even the guy selling it was impressed.

  • Good deal - cant understand the docket but got 2+2+2 for $40.

  • Just bought 20+10 for $200. Last day today I think
