Drop Returns Policy

I purchased a keyboard set and keycaps directly through Drop. After a few days it was obvious the keyboard was defective, and after contacting them and going through some troubleshooting they agreed. They offered a full refund, including the keycaps, which I accepted. They provided the required sheets to return the package and then informed me that this could only be dropped off with UPS.

Is it reasonable for them to ask me to travel 1.5 hours to a UPS location, which is only open 9-5, to return a defective item? I would have thought dropping it off at my local post office would be sufficient, but apparently not.

  • Can't UPS come to you to pick it up?

Agree to cover return postage and refund
And you expect an Aus Post drop-off point?

    They sound perfectly reasonable

It isn't a choice if they cover return postage, it's broken. I could have chose a replacement, but I would have to go through the same process.

I don't know about an Aus Post drop off point necessarily, but one point per state is poor service.

    yes reasonable

Yes it's reasonable. They have offered a major courier for intl delivery and isn't their business how far you live from a drop point. They cannot realistically have agreements with every logistics network in every country to satisfy a 5 min walk for everyone on the planet.

The good news is you can call UPS to arrange a collection with the waybill number on the label.
