[Orders Cancelled] Inno3D GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Twin X2 6GB Video Card $359 + $5.99 Shipping + Surcharge @ Mwave

Moved to Forum: Original Link. Reason: All Order Cancelled, 'listed erroneously'.

One of the better deals that I have found for a GTX 1660 Super in the past year. Although I am not familiar with this specific version card, the 1660 Super is still not a bad card, especially at this price.

1%/2% surcharge applies for select payment methods.

Sub $400, alright in the current times

Better than a second hand 1060 for the same price.. was looking at 1650 / 1650 super on eBay and they seem to selling for almost this price

    • +1

After it went up to $710, they delisted the card from mwave, making me a little concerned we will get cancelled on.

      • +8

Update: They've cancelled my order, no store credit etc, just the money missing from my bank until it's eventually refunded.

  • is this around rtx3050 level ?

    • +1

      Basically

      No dlss, no ray tracing..

Similar raw performance and 6gb vram not 4gb

      • +3

        Desktop 3050 has 8GB vram

        • If you could get one of the 19 units at A$400 at launch, RTX3050-8GB would be a better option.
I don't have much faith seeing it for less than A$500 for a while, I would happily get one for under A$450.

          • +3

@Jimbuscus: What bizarre times we live in where the bargains are at launch time rather than at the end of its sales cycle. It's almost like a "promo" price for early adopters..

But alas, what we're actually seeing can probably be explained like this:

            • YouTube: AMD’s Fake Day 1 MSRP: Paying AIBs to hide higher Pricing

    Holy cow. I can't remember seeing a 1660 below 600 for years.

  • -5

    23MH/s

    • +1

I got mine to 32MH/s while running at 79W.

      • Same with my daughters, turned the RAM speed right down and it went up to 32MH/s, it's not much (especially given how much she uses it for her games but i'll take any cent I can get

        • +1

Strange, would have thought increasing ram speed would have improved mining speed… Least that's how it is on the 3080

          • @BargainKen: That was my thought too, until I found a reddit thread which said to turn it right down (seems to apply to Hynix memory modules though) and sure enough it worked - doesn't make a lot of sense but somehow it works. My son has a 1660 super as well but a different manufacturer and the same settings send the hashrate into the ground so seems to be specific to certain cards

      • Nice.

      • +1

        Seems like 2060 mining output

  • +2

Almost wanna buy it for no reason at that price. Nice find

  • +1

Good price. Got my Gigabyte for around this 2 years ago.

  • +1

This can go well with the recent CPU/computer component deals, as it's the best hold-over option in the current market, as sad as this can sound.

    • -5

The 6500xt is similar performance and slightly cheaper (and a lot more efficient)

      • +1

While also lacking a lot of features, especially if you aren't on a PCIe 4.0 platform. Granted it might not be too many of the newer builds but can be quite prevalent in budget builds using intel 10th gen or older, or AMD platforms that don't have PCIe 4.0.

Even if ignoring all the feature limitation of 6500XT, the extra 2GB VRAM on the 1660 Super alone will be worth the extra $40.

  • +3

Nice find. First reasonably priced gpu option for a budget gamer I've seen in ages. Tempted but I've come this far with my GTX 750 - I can wait #hodl

    • +2

      r9 270x still hodling on

  • +3

very good price if 6gb vram is enough for you (almost certainly is at this card's target res). this card runs circles around the 5500 xt in both performance and features.

    • I haven't needed to turn down any settings at 1080p yet.

  • Its not working anymore.

    • Wow, that didn't last long!

      • +4

        pricing error for sure

    • +5

      $710.98 😱

  • -3

Give it another couple of weeks and this will be sub $300

    • +2

      Nope. Not a chance.

    • +2

      wake up mutly!

  • no stock

  • Damn.
Perfecto for an Office PC 8th gen.
Hope it doesn't draw too much

    • Perfect in mine paired with i5-8600.
The CPU is actually the bottleneck.

  • +2

Bugger, he who hesitates is lost. Wonder if those who were successful in ordering will have their orders cancelled? It is almost half what everyone else is selling for…

  • -1

    you snooze u lose!

    • +2

Lol. You bought 100x this time ?

      • -1

        chuckles im in danger

        Hi MIKA

  • It said $710

    • Well now I feel extra good about my purchase

  • +2

    Excellent deal. Missed it :(

  • +1

    $710 now

  • +1

Lucky I snapped it fassst. Just sold my 2016 1050ti 4gb for $250 on Facebook and bought this 2019 1660 for $110 more for exactly 100% more FPS. Worthwhile. Cheapest 2x upgrade ever. Thanks OP.

    • I haven't needed to lower any settings at 1080p so far, its an awesome card. The RTX3050 only matches it without DLSS.

    • +1

      Rip my dude..

  • Saw it, didn't think of getting it to mine. People getting this to game at 1080 or buying a few to mine? Seems like a good price for the hash rate.

    Crazy with the price change

    • +1

      just got that too

    • +3

Yeah, we were all dreaming if we thought that GPU prices suddenly reverted to pre-COVID state.. had to be a pricing error

    • +4

It mas more expensive then I had gotten my original 1660S from a bigger brand back in 2020, didn't think it was too unusual a price.

    • Mine cancelled too, searching mwave and seems they barely honor any similar things, even 10%~20% from their normal price.

  • +7

Yep, mine was just canceled too … I have bought new ones before for less than that, thought maybe we were coming closer to sanity again, but I guess not …

    • +1

Sorry for sending you all on a wild goose chase.

  • Damn been waiting 2years for an affordable 1660 super - looks like a price error though.

  • Had a feeling it was too good to be true, no way they had that much stock of this card.

  • -1

Annnnd its gone! Miners must have jumped on board. When is ETH becoming POS?

    • +3

      When is ETH becoming POS?

      Wen hope dies.

    • it's been gone for hours now. Also it was pricing error

  • +1

My order got cancelled as well

  • I have an inno3D 1080 that's started giving me issues with fan control (won't respond to MSI intermittently, impossible RPM readings in the millions of rpm, and fans surging at idle). While Inno3D did respond to my messages, they weren't helpful and I had to ask 4 or 5 times for firmware, at which point they told me I already had the latest and wouldn't help. In this market it's pretty hard to get good support for a video card, but I'll just say I'm less than impressed.

    • Can't you go back to the retailer? They will likely be more helpful/responsive, citing ACL.

      • I bought it in late 2017, so I don't think it will work trying to claim warranty 4+ years later

        • Oh right 1080, somehow I thought you bought a 1660 super as well lol

Hmm, have you checked out all the physical connections of the fan and card?

          • @zrmx: You might be thinking of a comment I made about a 1650Ti on my laptop.

I've had a quite look with it still in place but I'm not sure if I should mess with pulling it apart. If it gets to the point I feel I have to buy a new card I guess I'll have nothing to lose except time. i.e. It could be as simple as replacing the fans. Or it could be a total waste of time.

            • @syousef: =S

Decisions, decisions. I suppose if your CPU has an iGPU and you aren't gaming lately/can wait for further price reductions (guessing till May maybe?), then maybe worth a shot?

Alternatively, is to get a cheap hold over second hand GPU (eg RX 570 4GB) and then re-/on-sell it at similar price with small or no loss, once the 1080 is sorted/fixed.
