    Is that a good practice thingy, having smaller inverter than the total power the solar panels can produce?

      Yes it works well. The panels will degrade, there will be clouds, and even in perfect conditions will very rarely generate close to 100%.

      Also, many power distributors limit inverters to 5kw, or create extra hurdles or cost to go above that.

      My new 6.6/5 absolutely smashes my old 3/3, even though the 3/3 is in direct sun.

    we had exactly the same system done in VIC last July, we paid only $2500 after VIC government rebate. we use exact the same candidian panels, and sungrow inverter.

        honestly, products are good, service excellent from sungrow, so defintely would recommend the products, price is not decided by the company, so high or low is just upto the supplier.

      That price is doable for last year like you said. But solar panel pricing increased dramatically since Oct last year.

          STC Rebates reduce certain % each year gradually. The current pricing increased due to short supply and logistics. Happened since Oct last year.
