Looking for a Friendly Accountant in Sydney

Hi,

I am looking for a accountant in Sydney to manage and advise for my tax which include my investment property. I am seeking guidance around how to be more effective with my taxes and would appreciate some word of mouth and recommendations from this forum.

I am looking for a friendly accountant who adds value to my financial situation and doesn’t cost me a fortune.

Thanks for helping out!

Why do they have to be friendly?

I want an accountant who is experienced, up to date with tax law and value for money.

I don't give a flying f&$k about their personality. I'm not inviting them home for dinner. I just want to minimise my tax.

he may have different preferences which you might not consider important

Technically, I disagree, being Ozbargain, I want to maximise my return. Tax paid minus Accountants costs. 💰

You mean your refund. Return is a document.

  • Just pay your bill and they will generally smile… money talks

On a side note - financial advice is often provided by a financial adviser not necessarily by an accountant (unless they are licensed for both)

  • Everyone is friendly when it comes to taking your $$'s dude

    • Not all shop owners I see around

Is that south African or south American

        Saudi Arabia

    • A bit random, but wold you be comfortable sharing your SA acct? Happy for you to DM me :)

  • You want a cutthroat that will use every legal loophole to help you avoid taxes rather than some friendly by-the-book ✏️ neck.

Even if you come across good accountant, you will be probably turned down as a client. There is simply not much money that can be squeezed out of you on fees.

And I don't mean this in a bad way. You are simply too small of a client for good advice to make financial impact worth their fees.

As a general rule how to spot good accountants. Look at accounting firms that do not solicit online reviews from their clients, their website looks like shit but somehow, they are in these fancy offices in expensive parts of the town.

    Don't mix friendship with Finances.
