Well I'm sick of the back door being left unlocked so I want a door lock that auto locks.
Keypad and ideally has a door handle so I won't need to install a handle.
Smart or dumb does not matter.

Lockwood Digital DX and a 002 dead latch. Simple, easy, no batteries, no keys required. Self locks as the door closes. Simple PIN to unlock.
And it kind of depends on how you want it to work. Do you want it to replace your current handle or in addition to it? Do you use the back door often? Is there a possibility that you will get locked outside? Will other people need access to it, will kids go out and if it shuts, will they need to get back in? Do you want it to have the ability to be self locking but be able to be set in a position where it stays unlocked (say for easy access for a party)?
I got Lockwood and Samsung both and Samsung is way better.
Cheapest Samsung mod 1321 under $150 online hsd only room for 1 pin and 20 13MHz tags, stickers, cards fobs you name it.

You could just install a door closer and a lock that can't be jammed into an unlocked state.
