I recently discovered the Nest Thermostat (www.nest.com) and am very interested in purchasing one, however they appear to only be available in the US for $249.
Has anyone had any luck finding this product in Australia or any stockists which ship to Australia ?

not available in Australia in the short- medium term according to their US sales people. you can buy the Nest and others via Amazon sellers, shipped to Oz.
Nest looks cool, but it's double the price of equivalent non-web-connected controllers, nearly all of which run off batteries (so voltage issues are unlikely).
