Melbourne to Cairns/Ballina/Brisbane/Darwin/GC, Sydney to Darwin, Adelaide to Melbourne + More One Way $22 @ Jetstar

1420

Found the deals page a few min before it goes live, after matching the Jetstar NZ Twosday sale on as well.

All Jetstar fares include 7kg carry-on.

Will add in example routes in a few min when it goes active.

edit: It's live on their main page now

ninja edit: While it's not showing all of them yet, if you search a route in Oct/Nov/Dec, eg I just looked for Sydney to Darwin, the $22 flights show up in the month view!

  • Semi-weekend trip to Uluru sorted.

    • Make sure you leave plenty of room in between flights as that rock is 6 hours drive one way

      • Thanks. I've never been so have no clue on distance/time. It's just a few nights for $44 so buy first, plan later. :)

I was thinking of using Klook/Viator for tour activities.
Also where do you typically stay the night when visiting Uluru?

There is only one village which I think has 4 accommodation options - backpacker, apartments, mid range hotel and fancy hotel. All are expensive for what they are. It's also fly season so you'll probably grow some arm muscles while you are there.

          • @capslock: You're not kidding! I can't find anything cheaper than $500 for 2 nights.

            • +1

@ddhar: There is the campground. Recommend fly net!

      • It’s not 6 hours drive, it’s around 20/30 mins from the airport or the hotels

      • +1

you're probably thinking of alice springs airport - uluru airport is much closer (like 20 mins)

        • +1

Ah, ok. Not so bad. Thanks for correcting, can't believe they managed to squeeze 2 airports in the mid of no where and still makibg money.

    • As mentioned, There is a airport at Uluru now, it's right near the rock, probably 10 minutes from the resort/camp grounds which is a additional 20 minutes away.

I flew to this airport just two weeks ago, as part of the last $22 deal they had

  • Jetstar are such scam artists.

My girlfriend and I are trying to book flights on multiple devices, on different internet conenctions. If we pick starter tickets, the website loads indefinitely. But whenever we pick the more expensive Flexi, Plus, etc tickets, we are able to check-out immediately on the exact same flights (on the same devices and connections).

The other day I booked some cheap tickets to SYD from OOL. Somehow the Jetstar website didn't charge the credit card processing fee when it charged my credit card for the tickets. so I had 1% outstanding, and my flights were never confirmed. I called to sort it out and the flights have since become unavailable, so I could now rebook on flights that we twice as expensive.

    Jetstar is dodgey.

  • I just looked at the MEL—>BNE route in November. There are $22 flights available, but only if you want to arrive at 11pm! So unlikely to suit families or anyone wanting to arrive at a decent hour

Caved and also booked Sydney to Whitsundays in November for $44 return. I thought accommodation would be expensive but some really nice and reasonable options. Have never been so looking forward to it.

  • You actually get 25$ hotel voucher for every booking as well making it 3$ profit minus credit card fee ;)

    • You can sign up for free to Agoda or Booking.com for 10% off as well as get cashback on top which usually works out better I find, especially as cancelling is usually easier too.

      • True. Although I hate how Agoda showing higher prices when coming from cashback site vs Google.

    • how do you get the hotel voucher? Booked one this morning and signed up as well.

      • +1

        Automatic email

        • Thanks. Didn't get the hotel voucher email :(

Not something we can contact Jetstar and ask for?

          • @tajid: I've tried in the past to no avail

          • @tajid: Welcome to use mine, i dont need accom
            $25 Voucher code is YRTFKPEKCDKMPEVE

            • @davohatcher: Thanks mate. Not planning to book today yet so others can use it.

  • Those who have issue with selecting seats, i used vpn and it worked. Worth to try.

FFS every time I change the date I have to do that damn "challenge validation". SO ANNOYING.

    • +1

Yeah and you can lose the flights you had selected I found when that happened… VERY ANNOYING

Been discussing all morning for Melb > GC and it seems like they've all sold out.

    • Yeah same here.. was on the fence doing the maths for the whole trip (not just flights) and ended up missing out.

Looks like there are no $22 fares left. Thanks Jetstar, you muppets.

    • I'm assuming you didn't get in early this morning before the majority of the 22,000 fares sold out? Snooze you lose Goaty

      • I did, tried very early this morning. Couldn't get past the seat selection issue.

        But yeah, my fault right.

        • -3

          Possibly, yes.

No flights for the wealthiest state in the land? Silly Jetstar haha

    • +2

If they are wealthy then they can afford to pay $$$ for flights

  • I wouldn’t mind flying anywhere from Melbourne just for a getaway but I can’t even see flights to Sydney for $22 which it says aren’t sold out yet. How do we view the discounted fares?

  • Website shows 115 seats left for Sydney to Darwin
However no $22 fares are to be found (have been trying for last 2 hours!)

  • NOTHING LEFT :( minimum $80 ADL to sydney Only no other destinations

  • I don't believe the number of flights.

I have already been burnt by Jetstar in them cancelling my noon-ish flights and trying to move me into early morning flights. (Happened to me on SYD-Sunshine Coast)

    Beware.

  • Thank you. Got Brisbane to Darwin $44 return in November. Not the best flight times though.
