Urgent Need for Mobile Broadband - Lebara Plan

My NBN is out. Need mobile broadband today. Can I buy a Lebara sim from woolies/coles and then activate on of the lebara mobile broadband plans online - https://www.lebara.com.au/mobile-plans/mobile-broadband-plan….

On that page it only allows to order a SIM (which I can't wait for to be delivered). Can I just activcate one of the plans on a SIM i buy?

  • Why not tether on your existing mobile phone plan?

  • Because l am trying and the congestion makes it unsuable. And will likely run out of data.

  • Give it a go.

  • Honestly not sure, I think the SIM you buy from woolies/coles are mobile sims, but what you've linked is for Mobile Broadband so it may not even be an option to activate too, you'll probably only be able to choose out of the "pre paid sim plans", I would definitely confirm with at least their chat page first. Infact they might be the ones who may be able to move the sim plan/type over.

  • Your other option is to pick up Kogan Sim (at select servos) and recharge a plan onto it.
Email comes first so you can use it to activate the sim you got from the servo.

Both Lebara and Kogan are on the Vodafone network.

        No.
Kogan sim and activate a Kogan plan.

  • or get an Aldi sim and do exactly the same thing.

Aldi is on the telstra wholesale network

Would have been quicker to call Lebara support.

yea, just call Lebara support. They might even suggest you something that is not common knowledge

  • chatting to lebara - they can't simply answer the question - keep pointing me to data add ons and "Recharge" page
