Laptop Recommendation for Education. Budget: $900 - $1300

Would like at least 6 hours of battery life, weight of laptop doesn't matter. Looking for at these specs: i5 5th gen minimum, 8gb ram minimum (16gb ram preferably), and 256gb SSD

Currently deciding whether I should get:

-Dell Inspiron 15 5510 purely for work, I can get it for $1234 as 7% discount on discounted items, if I do get this I might purchase a desktop for gaming towards the end of the year:

-Dell G15 Ryzen edition for $1017, only problem is that the battery may get worse over time, or run too loudly (reviews are saying it runs for 5-6 hours without charge when not gaming).

Open to other options

  Why not a used XPS 13 ? or yoga 700 series ?

      From my knowledge they are generally built to last, were premium laptops at a time.

      Given they were taken care of, they might be the best buy honestly

  If its for education, then you can easily get laptops significantly cheaper through their education website. I would recommend an XPS. Had one for quite a while and no issues so far.
