    What's the deal?

Doesn't sound very special to me.

No worries. Happy to match package price as well. Cheers mate.

Legit question. Isn't solar meant to be set and forget?

        • +1

Yes, especially in the first 15 months unless it's a lemon of a system. Which you'd call the installers out to fix/replace anyways.

Google review from a week ago.

Extremely poor after sales service, no commitment to their product. Solar Panels not installed correctly, one whole bank of panels never connected, in addition my paperwork for the Meter Update was lost delaying connection a month - in total I lost 18 months not benefiting from my investment. I constantly phoned and emailed, repeatedly told to contact my Energy Provider. Eventually an electrician at my own expense, tested and instantly identified the issue, De Energy to their credit promptly send a techncian to connect. I sought financial compensation, their short response was pitiful to say the least!!

Thx for reading our google review. We try to make all customers happy, but its hard too. We take all positive and negative comments. Please also note we have 4.9 out 5 google reviews.

Nearly all have only submitted one or two reviews…

We try to make all customers happy, but its hard too.

Well doesn't that just instil confidence?

        Bye.

    • Company Response

First of all, we appreciated your feedback and sorry to hear from you as such way.

However, I believe you did not tell the truth as from the beginning of solar installation, we kept you updated on every steps along with post installation and even we have MSG records of the paperworks for the Meter Upgrade.
Secondly, the electrician whom inspected your solar system, we requested the inspection report, there is NO such thing available, and we did not waste time to arrange and manage our electrician to go back immediately. On the day, our electrician explained you the issue and we did not even hear afterwards till yesterday, we received an email for an unreasonable "compensation" request.

Got an identical system installed in NSW for $5200, unless QLD offer a much smaller rebate this seems more like advertising than a bargain.

    • What system package did you installed, happy to check same package prices here. cheers mate.

      • Same inverter. 6.6kw system with Canadian 415w panels.

        • Can DE Energy match that?

          • +1

@pricematch: I'd imagine they would, I was also quoted $5200 for the same risen panels offered here. Opted for Canadian due to the longer product warranty and company reputation.

  • Free advertising. No deal here. Yawn

  • Here we go again

  • Nah

  • The combination of Risen monoPERC panels + Sungrow inverter is worthy FWIW as a budget system. I have one (2+ years, northern suburbs of Melbourne) and it does as the box describes. I'd highly recommend paying the extra $150+ installation cost for the Sungrow S100 Meter as part of this, to better calculate usage and net benefits using the iSolarCloud app. The data from the inverter by itself doesn't take into account any load usage in your house.

If you have the coin, go the SolarAnalytics route w/subscription.

    • What's your take on Solar Analytics? Is it worth it?

      • I don't have a SolarAnalytics, but for my home having a single load reading through the S100 is sufficient for data crunching. I don't use the circuit-specific loading data to modify my usage.
