Do I Have a Faulty Esatto Heat Pump Dryer?

Just received it today and used it a couple of times.

First thing I noticed is the noise. It’s quite loud and continues to stir for a few seconds after pausing.

My dial is quite stiff. It doesn’t always stop at the program lines and there is one particular program the dial cannot go past. It can’t turn past it.

Lastly, the room it’s in gets very warm and it feels quite humid (small room).

It has dried my laundry really well but not sure if the above is normal. I can upload a video of it running to show the noise level

  • Lastly, the room it’s in gets very warm and it feels quite humid (small room). It has dried my laundry really well

Sounds like it's working just fine.

    • The room should get a little bit more humid due to normal sealing issues, but not allot with a heat pump. A normal dryer will get very humid.

If there is any condensation on any surface then it is faulty.

  • Use google to see if this is normal or not.

I would call the retailer this morning and say that the dryer has issues and let them know what they are and that you want it replaced as its faulty from when you got it. If you leave it a few days then they may/will not be as accommodating in replacing it.

  • The dial sounds dodgy. Mine is very smooth and easy to turn with light 'clicks' in between settings.

  • it works

    • I’ve read on here that it’s very quiet so I’m surprised mine is this loud

  • Mine is noisy. I thought that was normal. The laundry will certainly get warm if I close the door because the dryer is pumping out warm air from the drum.
No problem with the dial but the buttons are hit and miss. I need to press them in the exact spot or there is no response.
I wasn't expecting anything better from a budget brand.

  • Mine is a few months old and no issues.

Sounds like your dial is abnormal because mine turns very easily and able to do full revolutions e.g. 360 degrees.

Mine is in a very small enclosed laundry and it does get a bit warm but I wouldn't say humid and it's certainly less than a normal dryer.

Mine is fairly loud. From memory when I was looking to buy it a common complaint was that its fairly loud so I think it's normal.

  • Maybe get a video of the issues i.e. noise and the rotary dial. Having this dryer in Sydney right now is so useful. It is quiet for what it is. The moisture is part of its operation. Great product and goes great paired up with rooftop solar power for the days with rain showers.

  • Does anyone who has the unit sound like this?

    • Rattling doesn't sound right

    • Hey Magregus, did you find a solution to this? Mine has started making that exact same noise. Cheers!
