    My bank has just been charged for the Micro SD card at Amazon $24.45, while the tablet is still on back order and no charges. What happens if they cancel my order, I wouldn’t want the Micro SD card then.

      The tab s7 fe is 12.4" the tab s1 is 10.5"

      The tab s1 cost more even 1 year after its release than the tab s7 fe.

      S1 was the top range back then, this is a budget model of the S7 series.

      They put an OLED on this and they would cannibalise sales on the S7 and S7+.

          No. What krisspy is saying is. The original tab s was flagship tablet at the time. The tab s7 fe is a midranger/budget model. So its not a fair comparison.

          Expecting a budget range tablet to have an amoled screen like its flagship brethren would ruin the sales of the top of the range tablet.

              Now the s8+ is the midranger/budget as you now have the s8 ultra. And yes even the s8+ is not cheap.

    Intriguingly ipads (9th gen for around same price) and these are out of stock across most locations and Amazon is still not giving us a shipping date. If it helps, Apple is quoting 5 weeks on its own site. So I don't know if maybe Chinese new year/covid issues have impacted international shipping? If anyone knows anything please let us know.

          I was contemplating cancelling the amazon order, returning the bonus SD card which they charged me for and getting that Xiaomi Pad 5…. I am still on the fence….

          It took the Amazon rep quite a bit of time to look into the matter. I still sense a bit of hesitancy from their end as they did not clearly indicate an exact shipment date, however they assured me 1) the order will be full filled; 2) awaiting a mass pickup from a distribution center before dispatching for individual orders… noted Covid as the reason for delay; and 3) it is coming from a local AU supplier.

          So, even though the Amazon rep advised of an imminent shipment, I am still not confident…..

            @Logical: I spoke to them on 20/03 and they didn't know anything at that time. They may very well have been updated since then but yeah, it's taking longer than I thought it would. We're lucky in that we don't really need it any time soon but it is a little annoying not having an ETA.

    Mine finally shipped today, estimated delivery by 5/4/22. (That's in addition to yesterdays email when I got a "Delivery Estimate update" saying 30/3-5/4 delivery)
    Hopefully everyone else waiting on Amazon get theirs shipped very soon too.

        Not sure if this helps you out but when I spoke to the amazon agent over live chat they let me buy from a third party and refunded the difference. This happened 4 days ago.

        I was told to buy the same tablet from a seller called horizon centre (it was $180 more expensive at the time) and once it shipped i would be refunded the difference.

        It mostly worked out except when I contacted them to get the refund they gave it to me as Amazon credit.

          If I was in a bit more of a rush I would consider this offer. The Amazon credit is definitely fine by me. Amazon payments could very well be my number one expense after bills/insurance etc.

                  @ozbs25: Yes, the tablet will be for $474…. but if they don't ship and cancel the order then I am out of pocket $25 for a SD card which I don't need. They should not have sent out the SD card without the tablet. So I hope that I can still get my refund upon my return of the SD card in a month or so when my patience wears out.

                    @Logical: I did mention it to them when I spoke to a consultant a few weeks ago. I think they said they could sort it all out. I also bought a cover at that time too. If we end up not getting the tablet it will be a bit painful to return and get a refund for everything.
