Suggestions for a Reliable Mechanic: Central Coast NSW

I am in need of a honest mechanic (I am sure there are some around :) ) to get a Blue slip and on-going maintenance for my car along with the yearly pink slip to follow. This is for registering my car when I am relocating from interstate.

After reading up on a lot of different experiences and how many unwanted items are listed as needing fixing along with a huge cost attached, I am hoping to get some suggestions for a good mechanic who would not rip you off. Always open to doing what is necessary to ensure safety but trying to keep costs to a minimum.

      A 10+ year old Mitsubishi. After all I am "pauper" :p

    Usually steer clear of anyone that sells mass sells tyres, though I do know of some good Mechanics that have worked at places like the bigger chains in the past. They usually don't last long because they are too honest, and don't upsell enough tyres.

    The central coast is a big place, where abouts are you?

    I often see people post this question on our suburbs Facebook group, maybe you can try there?

      Thank you. I have not yet moved but will be soon hence unable to pinpoint a specific location atm.

      I am ok to travel far upto an hour away if it offers me peace of mind.
      Unfortunately I am not on FB so would rely on someone here to provide me guidance.

        You’d be better to wait until you move somewhere and get some advice then. Just pick any authorised blue slip station initially.

    Avoid express lube ( all 3 locations)

      The Ultratune franchises too. They practically charge dealer pricing for servicing.

    BM Automotive Repairs at Berkley Vale. I find, good servicing at fair price, and best wheel alignment equipment also.
    Also know one at Woy Woy if that's closer.

    Blue slips cant be carried out by all mechanics AFAIK.

    Family member uses Woy Woy Mechanical for his Euro (VW) & non Euro (Hyundai) servicing & repairs.
    (don't know about blue slip)
