Bowden's Own Snow Party Pack $50 (Was $70) (C&C/ In-Store Only) @ Supercheap Auto

240

Saw this on clearance on SCA website. Only available for click and collect. Decided to try it out with my snow cannon pressure washer attachment as a pre wash step. Doesn’t replace a hand wash but it’s fun and satisfying to do.

Includes 3 x 1 Litre bottles with slightly different snow foam (Phat Foam, Snow Good, Snew Job). Description from SCA site:

  • PHAT FOAM - Our thickest foaming pH neutral foam to date, for those whose cars feature on social media more than they do.
  • SNOW GOOD - Based on the popular Yellow Snow, this super-clingy custom blend is car loving therapy in a bottle.
  • SNEW JOB - A first look at of our new Snow Job formula, with better cleaning power and the latest anti-corrosion additives.

Works out to be about $16.67 per litre. Generally Bowden’s Own Snow Job is around $20 per litre.

Practically speaking, is there a purpose to having 3 types of snow foam wash? Is this a case of choice paradox?

    • It's soap that's foamy, I can't imagine there's any difference at all.
What's the advantage of using this over car wash liquid in a bucket of water?

Idea of the snow foam is to use as either a pre-wash soak to soften things up & reduce chance of scratching.
Can also be used as a quick wash just to get rid of sea spray & light dust; rather than doing a full wash.

      • Just marketing. I find the best foam is simply Chemtech.

        • Which one do you use? It it safe to use if the vehicle has CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 Ceramic Coating?

          • @ash7503: Their dedicated Superfoam would be best to use with ceramic coatings as it's PH neutral, biodegradable and safe on any surface. It gives more foam then any i've tried and you can get 5 litres for about $35 when on sale. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/chemtech-chemtech-ct18-s…

For cars with no ceramic coatings that you polish and wax the CT20 is great. And for 4wd's, caravans, trucks etc then CT18 is perfect.

  • How many car washes do I get for $50?

    • Dilution ratio 100ml per 1L cannon bottle. I usually use half a bottle per wash for my compact SUV. So around 60 washes… for me. It’ll come down to how you spray your snow.

      • I spray it until i can't recognise my car.

      • Same dilution but to cover my car it takes 1L (with their snow gun in a Gerni).
So it would be 30 washes for those $50 in my case.

I decided to stop pre-washing with foam and just do it with the pressure washer, removing all the visible dirt. It does the same

Check your emails for $10 credit (most likely targeted), brings it down $40 ;)
