Best Ways to Accumulate Krisflyer Miles?

Hi all,

Was saving QFF points and hoping for an Europe trip with Emirates until recently Emirates has dramatically increase the carrier charges with classic reward flights.
Given the availability and the cost, I think flying with Singapore air might actually be a better option but I am struggle to find the best ways to accumulate Krisflyer miles. I am looking for sign up bonus with lower annual fee if possible, and we are looking at something around low 300k miles.

Thanks in advance!!

    My suggestions:
    1. Wait for the next big Amex Explorer bonus - there was 240k in November (120k KF, 2:1 conv)
1.1. Refer a friend Amex bonus + Supplementary card bonus when promos are on
    2. BankSA Amplify Signature currently has 100k promo, but previously had 200k and spent 12k per year I believe (broken into 100k in year 1, 100k in year 2). This would net 50k KF per year (2:1 conv).
    3. SunCorp Clear Options Platinum has 130k promo, which is 52k KF (2.5/1 conv)
    4. All the remaining 3:1 conv credit cards - ANZ Rewards Plat, Citi, Westpac, NAB

KF has done two 15% transfer bonuses - end of 2020 + 2021. Not sure if these will continue but those were great transfer periods.

Velocity promos used to be the best (1:40/1 and then 1:55 to 1) but it no longer exists/was indefinitely halted when Virgin Aus went under. Sad days but it is what it is. I currently have 520k KF, and have previously spent 350k KF in 2018 on honeymoon flights.

    • Excellent cheers

  • Hi there, thank you for such a detailed description.
I guess I will start off with a BankSA card, as both of me and my wife just recently got a Qantas AMEX….it will be a long process to get what we are after but oh well….

The amplify signature is the highest earning non Amex KF card.

      It's a keeper for me

  • Using velocity points to book singapore flights is available for economy class fares. But I assume that's not what u want to use your points for. Biz class and higher should resume soon so that's one easier avenue for you (accruing velocity points instead of kk). However SIA bookings using velocity has less flexibility
