"A little too sweet and warm for its own good, but it does punch out red licorice and dense plum flavours in good volume. Violet, musk and stressed herb characters round out a capable, if not compelling, red wine."

    • I bought a small bottle of the Shiraz.

      Yes

      complimented by subtle toasty oak.

      Oak? Nope

A well balanced wine with great depth, length and persistence of flavour finishing with firm, plush tannins.

It does have this, except the length the flavour does evaporate moderately.

Doesn't need decanting now. 5yrs is heaps. Drinkable now & I can't see it improving with age. Certainly worth the $12.20/bottle now. Easily worth $15-$18. If I'd paid the $25 at the bottlo's,. I'd feel ripped off. A Pepperjack would be better value.

  • Drank the first of the 2015 Grenache tonight and based on that experience I will most certainly NOT be ordering any other aged Beresford wine.
