  • Nice one, since its not on GP anymore I think.

  • Nice but issue is the ban system is so sensitive and encourages such a nanny behaviour.

Unlike, say, GT Sport where infractions have an in-game time penalty, Forza implements a real life ban of 7 days, 30 days and then lifetime ban for any 3 reported infractions (over any period).

Otherwise a fun game for quick sim-cade racing.

    • Hence why there are so many more idiots on GT sport.

      • Have to agree - the current state is that ramming has no penalty, but at least the SR does in some ways filter out less safe players

    • what would people be reported for? is this purely cheating? or other things?

      • +6

It's anything that disrupts the game, so intentionally ramming (even accidental hitting if it looks intentional) to even corner cutting are offences that can result in ban.

I've been banned twice so far:

        • first (7 day length) was corner cutting which I did because I didn't know the track and was caught out by going too fast. In doing so I overtook another player.

        • the second (30 day length) was because I caused another player to spin out. I was on the inside of another player going through a corner which I had priority in that they had to yield or take us both out. There was contact, they spun, I got banned.

The game is so sensitive as it's all about player reports. I get rammed all the time and I just play on. You touch someone incorrectly once (hehehe), they'll report you and it seems Turn10 just apply the ban without proper review. It's a dead game so to speak as they're moving on with Forza 8, so admin review is minimal if at any all (?)

Bans don't reset either, so next ban for me will be 'lifetime' ban on account. I've stopped playing although really enjoyed the quick race setup they had.

        • wow! i had no idea….i guess it's good so you don't have people ruining it for you….but the fact that you can cop a ban for an accident, that's pretty harsh
