I have the 9000 and do not like it. Its large, the carry case is huge and the function button is directly where your thumb sits so gets hit quite often. The extra functions are useless, so I'd go for the 2000 if I had the choice.

I love how they call it a "Smart Travel Case" when it just has a charge port.
It would be WAY better if they added another battery to the case, so it charged the device (similar wireless earbuds).

I also find I hit the function button when using the toothbrush.
Not as often now, but when I first started using it I'd cycle through the functions at least twice before my brushing was done.

      • What "Real Travel Smart" would be if there power supply support 110/220 both like laptop power supply etc. I had trouble changing the damn thing when I was in Japan. That was a mega fail.

        • I have one in front of me
          Input: 100-240V ~ 50-60Hz 7W
          Output: 12V 400mA

Looks like it should have worked in Japan..

2000 are @8000 rev/min and The 9000 is at 10500 revs per min.
The extra functions are good. When i removed my wisdom teeth the gentle function was great.

Not sure why you keep pressing the button. You must be griping the handle to hard which tells me that you are using the brush wrong.
But i agree with you that once the toothbrush is running you can't see which mode you have selected without taking the brush out of your mouth (whilst still on), so you have paste flying every where.

    • Where is the info about revs per minute taken from? I always thought that the motor was the same regardless if it was 2000 or 9000. Only below 500 use a different motor…

  • I've been waiting for the dual oral-b 8000 handle for ages..

This is a good price for a Oral-B 9000 pack.

Next cheapest is off FB MP for $130 (not my listing and definitely comes with its own risks, may have fallen off the back of a truck)
