Planing to Buy Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S20 Need Your Help!

Hi guys,

Newbie here with no experience with refurbished phones. I checked Ozmobiles for refurbished phones and I found a pretty good deal https://ozmobiles.com.au/collections/samsung-s20/products/ga…
Can you give me your opinion on this?

Thanks!

  • Do you need 5G? Seems exe to me….

    • i think 5G also makes the battery drain faster

Doesn't seem like a fantastic price for a 2 year old phone.

If I was going to get I would get https://www.jbhifi.com.au/collections/samsung-galaxy-s20-5g $799, brand new and would have 2 years warranty.

EDIT: Sorry I see that is S20 FE 5G even though I search S20+

    • You can get an s21fe for that price on the Samsung edu store.

      • The S20FE has a stable s865 chip. I would do my research to see if getting the older one is better.

Dont!, the exynos chip on the S20 series has really bad battery life.

  • Considering there was a deal for a new one of these for $693 only a couple of weeks ago….too expensive for a refurb

    • Actually was $631…
(Though Amazon ran out of stock so my order never shipped)

    A. Why the F does this title need an exclamation mark?

    B. Why the F would you pay $709 for a 2 year old phone that's covered in someone else's jizz in every nook and cranny, when you can get a brand new Samsung direct from their website for almost half that during their promotions. I paid something like $450 for a brand new S21 Plus 256gb like 3 months ago on a Samsung cash back/trade in deal (never sent my trade in either).

    • That S21 deal was a price error though (or at least an error causing multiple coupons to stack) - I know, that's how I got my S21 Ultra for $354. Can't really compare a product at a reasonable sale price with a price error

It was not a pricing error, they offered the S21 series many times for those prices.

You got a discount on the condition you send in your trade in, then you didn't send in the trade in. Can't say that sounds completely legit to me

          • @silentsoar: They never asked for it. They clearly had excess stock.

  • FYI: they are not refurbished, they are used phones that people trade in. You do get warranty but it's a used battery.

  • A used phone like that is worth $350 tops. Even then I would rather buy one of those Chinese phones like Poco or Xiaomi at that price.

Harvey Norman has the S20 FE (brand new) for $698 plus you will get a $100 HN Giftcard on the side.

(I know the general feeling towards HN, but I think this deal is better than paying $708 for a used phone with a very limited warranty.)
