Is the PS5 upgrade free or is it one of those paid upgrade path deals?

Looks to be free from the few websites I glanced at

Have bought the PS4 version of the game, can confirm it upgraded to PS5 version for free.

If you get the upgrade version, do you still need to use the disc on the PS5?

Would love to completely forget this game and experience it all over again..

    • Keen to play this game with my partner, but she struggles with the "two joystick" method of moving/looking around. Would that be a problem for this game?

I generally try to stick to either 2D games or 3rd person ones where the camera angle takes care of itself when I will be playing with her.

She quit on Portal when I tried playing that with her because of the controls.

My missus has got through most of it fine, despite also struggling with the camera (though there's definitely been plenty of frustrating moments). There have been a few sections that I've had to do on her behalf so YMMV. It's also sometimes tricky as things are time-sensitive, so it's not always easy for me to help out - I find just talking her through the button sequence she needed as she did it helped a lot though. For $30, I'd say it'd be worth it, even if you don't get that far into it. Could always re-sell it at worst!

      • Similar to above, my partner struggled a bit with the joystick camera but the beauty of this game is that as long as you have one good gamer, you can't really lose as the other player can just continuously respawn if you stay alive.

The story, cinematics and emotional connection will make up for all of the frustration.

  • Already have the UK version so no use to me but that is a very good price. Amazing game.

  • This is a great, great game to play with a partner. Played it on Gamepass but would have bought it if it wasn't.

Crazy value at this price. I'm playing with my 7 year old son and it's fantastic. There's so much teamwork, puzzle solving and mini-games… it just keeps on giving, and only gets better as it goes on. We're up to the snow level with the bells, which is about three stages after I was sure it was going to (very nicely) wrap up, and it might be the best level yet. And I have no idea how long it's got left in it!

The visuals are amazing, too. The kalaidescopes… clock level… stunning at times, and all used to create unique and interesting puzzle design.

The storyline is also brilliant. That scene with the elephant… Monty Python-esque. I felt guily every time I laughed, which was a lot!

Just get it. Even if you don't have someone to play it with right now. When you do it'll be one of the best games you ever play.

Couldn't have said it better… best puzzle co-op game of all time hands down!

  • Loved this game. Felt like a kid again when I was playing it.

  • Such a great game, surprised it's only getting a physical release now??

  • Been waiting to grab this, thanks.

  • Thanks OP! Ordered one.

Amazing game to play with your significant other, probably the best co op game out there, I think it’s even better than Overcooked. Puzzles are very entertaining, storyline is good and hilarious at times, and the mini games are really good too. Although you can finish the story in around 12 hours, we spent a good 20+ trying to get all the mini games and achievements.

  • Not to be that person but if you plan on finishing the game within a month, this game is also included in the EA play membership which i think is $7 per month

  • This is the best game I have ever played with a partner. Absolutely must play, you won't regret it!

  • Perhaps waiting for the digital version to drop in price again would be the best option?

    I believe it has been the same price through the PS store as recently as early last month;

  • Can anyone work out how to avoid the $5.99 Expedited Delivery fee without joining Prime?

I have items in my cart which would take it over $39 but when you hit the PreOrder button it wants to ship the game as a single item and apply the $5.99 fee.

  • Just arrived today. Very quick.
