Best Budget Vacuum? Budget $100

Looking at home brands like Kmart etc.

Choice said the $47 Kmart one works best. IDK.

House is small rental apartment with three rooms. Vinyl kitchen floor and three carpeted rooms. No living room.

Budget is $100 but aiming for value for money.

  • I got the Kmart one and I hate it now. It does work, it gets rid of the cat hair easily on both hard and carpeted floors, but it does not suck up anything else. Tiny cat litter balls? Nope. A tiny bit of food on the floor? Nope. A hairpin? Nope. If you're looking to remove dust and hair, it's perfectly fine. Anything remotely bigger than dust and hair and you've got yourself a problem.

    • +1

The 3 filters might need a clean out.

My complaint with the vacuum is that it does get a bit hot = not efficient. Great otherwise and I think it is the best budget vacuum available.

      • i wash the filters every week, no issues, will make the vacuum last for a very long time.

  • Kmart one works well, but doesn't last. Made it a bit over 1 year and motor constantly overheats now.

  • Save yourself the stress and get a Dyson V7 or V8

  • I bought one simple cheap yet very efficient ( sucking power very strong) handled vacuum for merely $29.00 from Kmart ( Anko brand). My daughter loves it so much that she bought one too. Trust me it is a best one that I have ever owned.

  • Electrolux Volta does compact ones for less than $100. Make sure to get a bagless one. Has served me well for 4 years now for a small apartment.

  • Does anyone have access to the Choice review to see which is the best corded barrell bagless vacuum cleaner?

  • Lookout for a used Miele. I got a C2 for $50. They are extremely robust. Had an older model for about 15 years that has seen absolute hell and has not blinked.

  • Bagged vacuum. Buy vacuum bags from bunnings.

  • get the 29 bux 600w stick vac from bigw

  • What'd you pick up in the end?
