HELP: backup SMS from Android to iPhone (iOS)

I am changing from android to iphone.

the first thing I need is to migrate ALL the sms on my android to Iphone. I tried the Move to iOS, but keep getting error during the transfer. I only ticked the box for messages. failed 3 times.

I tried MobileTrans , but it comes with a fee I am not willing to pay at this stage as i just want to move all my SMS over.

Is there other ways to do this?

edit:. Tending towards buying mobileTrans . Anyone with negative feedbacks please share why

    What Android phone? AFAIK Google Pixel and Samsung phones come with inbuilt software to help you do this.

    I have used AnyTrans to successfully move the content from Android to iPhone in the past, it's A$40 for a 1yr license.

    I just looked on the MobileTrans website and it claims there is a 7-day money-back guarantee so perhaps you could buy the license, do the transfer and then request refund?

      Can't believe this is still a problem in 2022…..can't android and apple just get along with each other ??
      Shouldnt be something need to pay for

    If you can afford an iPhone, you can afford the 37 apps to xfer your old phone :P

    When using move to iOS, you have to make sure the screen on both phones stays on, if they put themselves to sleep, it fails. I recently did this and it failed each time I let the screen go black, so I had to sit there for an hour tapping both screens each time they dimmed. It also didn’t work properly, some of the text chains have my messages in one chat and their responses in a different chat.

      Wow…I have like 20000 SMS I want to backup. SMS alone itself is like 3 hours to back up according to MoveToiOS

      Anyone with MobileTrans have the SMS successfully without hickups transfered to iOS?

        Timer is accurate in my experience, said it would take an hour and it did. I sat there watching the screens out of the corner of my eye while watching Netflix
